Forever Sleeping

Thousands of days
I fight and scream
Then days roll by
That I have my faith in God
Do I pray
I start to sing aloud
And got shot then died
But I still sang on
The only ones who could hear
Cried out "Sing on! Sing on!
For you are welcome home"
And The Lord greats me
At the gates of gold
I was finally able to say
"I'm finally free! I'm finally home!"
I died fighting for freedom and for life
Little did I know that
Down on Earth I was a hero
I lived my life to the fullest
And I did it I became forever free
I sang the same song that I sang
When I died
In a grave covered in flowers
Do I lay forever sleeping
