The man extended his arm, guiding her to a pavilion in the garden. There sat a lady, enjoying the view as she sipped her tea. In front of her was a set of sweets, and three maids stood in composure, assisting the lady with her tea time.

"Cousin!" the man shouted as they entered the pavilion.

The lady noticed them and smiled, her sharp crimson eyes landing on the princess behind her cousin. "You're here," she greeted back and stood from her seat. Her long blonde hair shone as the sun kissed it, her skin fair and smooth like marshmallow, and her lips strawberry red. The crimson gown she wore was a complete contrast to her pure and innocent face. She was beyond gorgeous.

Yzabella curtsied and lowered her head to greet the princess of Avanov. She may be a princess, but she believed that the empire of Avanov was much higher than the kingdom of Esther. Showing respect was essential to maintain the alliance and win the nobles' hearts.

"I am Princess Yzabella Alisha Esther, Your Grace."

The princess of Avanov smiled as sweetly as the cake on the table. "I am Zienna Eloise Avanov. Nice to meet you."

"Valerian," said the man who was now munching a strawberry. "But just call me Val."

"Please, take a seat and enjoy yourself," Zienna guided Yzabella to a seat beside her.

As Yzabella settled into the seat, Zienna poured her a cup of tea. The fragrance was delicate and calming, a perfect complement to the garden's serenity. Valerian took a seat across from them, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"It's such a lovely day," Zienna remarked, her voice as melodic as a songbird's. "I'm glad you could join us, Princess Yzabella. How are you finding our gardens?"

"They are enchanting," Yzabella replied, taking a sip of her tea. "I've never seen such a variety of flowers in one place."

Zienna's smile widened. "I'm pleased to hear that. Our gardeners take great pride in their work."

As they chatted, Valerian continued to nibble on the sweets, occasionally offering a witty comment that made both princesses laugh. Despite the initial tension Yzabella felt, she began to relax in their company.

"So, Princess Yzabella," Zienna said, leaning in slightly. "What brings you to Avanov? Aside from attending the ball, of course."

Yzabella hesitated for a moment, unsure how much to reveal. "My father named me heiress to the throne recently. I've been visiting various kingdoms to introduce myself properly."

"Ah, the weight of responsibility," Valerian interjected, his tone half-serious, half-teasing. "I suppose it must be quite a burden."

Yzabella smiled ruefully. "It can be, but I am determined to do my best for Esther."

Zienna reached out and placed a gentle hand on Yzabella's. "I understand the feeling well. Being a leader is never easy, but it's a role we must embrace. If you ever need support or advice, know that you have friends here in Avanov."

"Thank you, Your Grace," Yzabella said, deeply moved by Zienna's kindness.

"I heard you will stay here for a few months," Zienna continued. "I hope we can spend time together during your stay."

Yzabella shyly nodded after taking a sip of tea. She then put it down in a gentle manner. "The emperor sent an invitation to my father, but he is busy at the moment and couldn't attend, so he sent me instead."

"Hmm," Zienna's brow furrowed. "How odd. Did you perhaps read the letter?"

Yzabella tilted her head in confusion. "No, but my father told me it was an invitation for the emperor's birthday party. According to him, there will be a grand ball to celebrate the emperor's birthday."
