-ˏˋ⋆‗ 𖤓 "are you ready?"
"ready to meet annoying teenagers angel? i don't think that's the right question."
"are you ready to face humans enzo?"
"not really."
naima sighs as she continues to drive to the grill, with enzo in the passenger seat. her phone rings, knowing that it must be jeremy texting that he is at the grill, waiting for the two. "everything will be fine."
"is that supposed to comfort me? thank you angel."
"your rather mouthy today." naima says, she turns into a parking spot and parks. "let's tone it down regina george. we are here. now let's go in and be civil humans."
"tsk. being a human is so off the mark." they walk out the car. locking it and making way to the front door of the grill. enzo opens the door for her, 'thank you' naima says. and they enter the grill filled with others, naima eyes down to her boyfriend— who was already waving.
making way. enzo had subconsciously grabbed her hand and to say he was surprised to feel them so soft and cold. it almost made him forget that she is indeed human. he was going to retreat his hand because for one he didn't know how she would feel about, two that this is definitely out their range, and three, her hand flinched. maybe she didn't notice, but enzo did, but naima already goes to lock into his and with a gentle pull
"hey guys!" naima announces the two. enzo's hand immediately tightens, not enough to hurt but more of 'kinda freaking out' hold. she squeezes back in reassurance.
"oh my god. do you know how worried i was? i thought your crazy aunt took you!" a worried voice breaks off and naima's vision goes to blond hair tickling her nose and arms wrapped around her. naima had reluctantly let go of enzo's hand to hug caroline forbes.
"i'm sorry— family emergency yesterday." caroline let's go of naima, a worried— concerned face she makes, naima shakes her head. "not that kind, everything is okay."
"and as if i'd let her leave." jeremy comments behind. noticed the two were holding hands and thought nothing much to it, naima will most likely tell him, it's possible that enzo's nerves spiked and in need of some comfort.
understandable when he was stuck underneath the world for years, and years. "calm down there lover boy, your girl isn't going anywhere." at that jeremy scoffs but sheepishly turns away from bonnie bennett from teasing him. "and you, you missed last nights movie."
