The book closed suddenly in the middle of their conversation, leaving Taehyung staring at the blank pages. Panic surged through him. He couldn’t let this happen. He couldn’t forget her.

He began to write frantically, detailing everything he remembered about Na-ra. Her name, their conversations, her expressions, everything. As he finished, the ink barely dry, he felt a strange pull, like he was being yanked out of his world.

When he opened his eyes, he was in a completely different place. It was a small, cozy room, filled with the soft scent of flowers. The sound of sniffles caught his attention. He followed the sound to find a girl sitting on a bed, her face buried in her hands.

It was Na-ra.

*Na-ra...*

Taehyung's heart ached to see her like this. He wanted to console her, to tell her everything would be okay. He reached out to touch her, but his hand went right through her. He couldn’t touch her. His eyes widened in horror as he saw the slap mark on her cheek and the bruise on the corner of her lip.

He stood there, helpless, his heart breaking with every sob that left her lips. Na-ra was ethereal to Taehyung's eyes, the most beautiful person he had ever seen. But seeing her cry was heart-wrenching. He wanted nothing more than to hold her, to comfort her, but he was powerless.

*What can I do? How can I help you, Na-ra?* He thought, his own tears threatening to fall. He vowed silently to find a way to be with her, to protect her, no matter what it took.

Taehyung just sat beside Na-ra in her sorrow, watching her with a heavy heart. He couldn’t touch her, couldn’t offer the comfort she so desperately needed, but he could be there in spirit. He could be a silent companion in her pain.

*For now, this will have to be enough,* he thought, clenching his fists in frustration.

But amid his helplessness, there was a flicker of hope. If he could come out of his world, even if she couldn’t feel his presence, it meant there was a possibility. A chance that someday soon, they could be like everybody else. Holding hands, laughing, talking, and much more.

Taehyung smiled softly, his resolve strengthening. *One day, Na-ra. One day, we’ll be together. I promise.*

Taehyung was lost in his thoughts when he heard Na-ra’s voice from another room. Startled, he rushed to the scene, finding Na-ra in a state of panic.

“No... no, this can’t be,” Na-ra muttered, her voice trembling.

A woman, presumably her mother, spoke up. “Just... just go to school, Na-ra. We’ll talk more later.”

Na-ra left the house with the book clutched tightly in her hands, and Taehyung followed her like a lost puppy.

Na-ra’s world was completely new to him. Everything was so much different from his own. He was awestruck by the sight of vehicles—carts moving without animals to pull them. The streets were filled with people, all in a rush to get somewhere. The towering buildings seemed to scrape the sky, and the noise was overwhelming.
