Isabelle POV :-
"One whiskey, please," I ask Lucas, my best friend and the bartender here. He raises an eyebrow, surprised by my unusual smile. We've been through enough together for him to know my smiles are rare.
"What's got you in a good mood today? Or am I dreaming that you're actually smiling?" Lucas asks with a grin, wiping down the bar counter top.
"Shut up. Don't provoke me. And yes, I'm in a good mood," I reply, still the smile lingering on my face.
I couldn't help but grin wider. Closing the deal that's been hanging over us for two long years-it's more than just a victory for our Russian Mafia. It opens doors to new alliances and strengthens our network with major players.
"So... what's this about which got you a smile on your face. Don't mind me that I'm asking you this, I'm happy that you started smiling but is it a good victory or -?" He asks with a curiousity in his tone. I couldn't be mad at my bestfriend as he knows everything about me. Yeah, the only bestfriend to whom I openly talk about anything.
When I came to this bar for the first time which was six months ago...
* Six months before *
The rain was getting more intense but I didn't stop fighting. I was punching the man's face so hard that I heard a crack on his nose. Satisfied with my artwork on his face with several cuts and a broken ribs, leg and an arm, I warned him to owe us the money within a week for all he gained by selling my drugs.
I don't like people who gets involved with my business and backstabbing me. When it comes to my business, no one can fucking ruin my business or even try to escape from this once after you joined it. After all before joining with me, they will be already notified that dealing with me is like 'you are writing your death wish' towards me. If anyone breaks the rules they are gone by the next day.
I got the news in the morning from one of my men that we are receiving a very less margin from the drugs which are sold in the 'Antonio Strip Club' where most of our drugs has been exported here every month and they are getting sold quite well but we were missing the margins. The dealer who was supposed to give us the money, he wasn't sending us and rather started a private business of his own where he is selling the drugs which were provided by us. That dealer was the same one who got already warned by men and also my men sent him some mails regarding this issue, but this bastard didn't respond for anything and just gave a simple reply telling something stupid reasons.
After the warning I gave him, I was totally soaked in the rain and wanted to have some drinks to my body warmer, with that thought I started going towards the club. As I entered I noticed several men eye fucking me because I just wore a light tshirt which is seen through, but as I give them a hard gaze, they all started to down their gazes but who doesn't like the show, or rather I enjoy the show by removing their eye balls? But I ignored their gazes and sat at my common booth.
I ordered my usual whiskey and leaned against the comfortable couch and sigh. I observe everyone having fun and some were even makingout at the corner booths. As I continue to scan my surroundings, suddenly my attention was drifted towards the group of men making jokes of something or rather someone. I peek a little bit from my seat to see what was going on there and I saw a cute and handsome bartender getting busy mixing the drinks, but he was feeling uncomfortable from the comments and insults thrown towards him. I immediately stand up from my seat and without thinking I go towards the men who were making of him and directly sit beside the men's group.
