2: Day One Done

JASON- CHAPTER TWO

I looked around the apartment. It was Monday today, which meant me and Pipes had our first day at Red Bay High School.

I shook Piper next to me. She groaned and rolled over. I sighed and got up, getting my clothes from the wardrobe, in the process ripping the sheets off Piper. She groaned ''It's coldd Jase-'' I rolled my eyes. ''Piper, it isn't even winter!' I told her, laughing. I got changed, and Piper finally got up.

We ate breakfast, sending a good luck text to Percy, Annabeth, and Leo who would also be starting school today. Once we were out the door, one of our hallmates Emma told us that we should have a good day as she left for work.

We leave the complex, heading down the street. ''So, what should we do about our relationship? Like, we can't be the new kids who are also randomly dating- that would be weird'' Piper told me. I thought for a moment. ''Well, we have the same last name since you changed yours. So we could be cousins? We would have to hide our relationship, but at least it provides a feasible explanation for everything''

Piper nodded, then chuckled. ''I would usually suggest we send that into the chat for Percy, Annabeth, and Leo, but Leo could not lie for that long, and with the amount of PDA Annabeth and Percy share daily, it would be impossible for them to keep their cover.'' I laughed along with her.

We entered the administration, and a lady gave us our schedules and locker numbers

I sighed. ''Only two classes and lunch together? Seriously?'' Piper nudged me. ''Look on the bright side. Less time together means it will be easier to fake being cousins. And we're taking Spanish, which means we will be able to boss Leo when we get back to camp.'' I laughed again. ''More like miscommunicate with him. But you do make good points, so I can't complain''

We find our lockers, and dump our things inside. The bell rings, and we manage to find our way to Mrs Blacks class.

We tell her we are the new kids, and she tells us to stand up the front of the class for introductions.

''...okay, class! CLASS! That's better! Today we have two new students, Jason and Piper- CAMILLA, QUIET! Would you both like to introduce yourselves?''

I glance at Piper, and she looks slightly nervous. I did speeches in front of the legion back before my Amnesia Era, so I decided to handle the speaking. ''Hi, my name is Jason, this is Piper, my gi- uhm, cousin. I like...playing sport'' I glance at Piper. ''Yeah...my name is Piper, and I like...listening to music'' Mrs Blacks nods. ''Okay, so Jason, can you sit next to Braxton? Yeah, Brax, can you put your hand up?'' A stocky guy sitting toward the back sticks his hand up, so I sit in the chair next to him.

Piper sits next to a girl called Summer, at a table with a group of three. I think the other girls names are Vannessa and Lilly. I notice that towards the middle of the lesson, Pipes starts to look uncomfortable. I don't know why, but make a mental note to ask her about it in Science.
