Dear Jason and Piper
Last night, I was alerted to the fact that you both vandalised Red Bay High. Due to this, and the nature of the vandalism (using rude terms), Red Bay High asks that you do not return. Your departure will be publicly announced during P.C. Students will only be informed on the fact that you both have left the school. We ask that you come afterschool (from 4-6 PM) to collect your belongings.
We have negotiated with the police that you will not have a criminal record, however this is on the condition that you will also clean the graffiti afterschool (above hours). If you do not clean the graffiti, your release terms will be subject to change.

I open my laptop, and see the email from Principal Myers.
It's funny- I thought that Percy and Annabeth would definitely be the first ones to get expelled, probably because of Percy and a monster, or Percy and a god. Turns out it was us. And by no fault of the Greek world. I show Jason the email and he bites his lip.
''What are we going to do?''
''Honestly Jase, I don't know.''
''We might have to tell the chat...everyone goes on this afternoon at four, right? We drop the bomb, then call everyone while cleaning the graffiti and collecting our stuff to explain what happened. It's our only option''
