soulmates. they're a funny concept. if you had told lizzie she'd be waking up next to hope mikaelson last year, she'd probably laugh until her stomach cramped up. but if you told her last week, she would've did her little dance around the room with a pillow clutched to her chest. like a dream come true.

she hadn't even registered what was going on, until she found herself awake, her forehead pressed against a girl with auburn hair, their legs weaved together in a sweaty mess. she parted her lips as she shifted slightly, but hope, laid next to her, moaned and rolled over onto her side. lizzie sighed as she felt the slick peel of perspiration when hope untangled their legs. she felt a gush of air come from under the blanket, but it was refreshing so she didn't mind.

it was then that hope started to stir. she covered her face with her hands and yawned, moving onto her back. she stretched her arms behind her, tapping her nails along the top of the beds backboard. lizzie noticed the curve of hope's breasts under the blanket, so she quickly pulled it up to cover her chest. right, they had finally taken the step lizzie had been waiting so eagerly to take. it was wonderful, and sensual, and excited every nerve in lizzie's body just thinking of it.

lizzie was about to shut her eyes again, before she felt a arm slip around her waist and turn her onto her back. she burrowed her face into the pillow, but hope grabbed lizzie's arm and flung it around her shoulder and pulled her up to a sitting position. she managed to grab her other arm and do the same thing on the opposite shoulder. lizzie gave up, flung herself forward and bumped her head onto hope's chest.
"you're so heavy." hope muttered into lizzie's hair.

lizzie nibbled hope's shoulder who cursed quietly and dropped lizzie back onto the mattress. she pinned her hands each side of lizzie's shoulders, narrowing her eyes.
"don't insult me then." lizzie whispered.
hope's auburn hair was dangling around her face, and she had a sweaty sheen across her chest from the night before. lizzie scanned around her face, drinking in her flushed cheeks, hungry eyes, yet she wasn't satisfied. she needed more.

"it was a observation, liz." hope leaned down, barely making contact with lizzie's chest. "and for your information, I could never insult you...you're too beautiful for that." she brushed her lips against lizzie's, causing a flurry of butterflies pool in her abdomen.
"so this is what having a soulmate is," lizzie bucked her hips up, desperate to get some friction. but as soon as she started moving her hips in small circles, hope flattened a hand against her stomach and pushed her back down again. it was torture. lizzie whined pathetically, but hope took lizzie's bottom lip between her teeth and tugged.

lizzie tried to squirm as best she could, but it was no use. she was bewildered that she had somehow ended up under hope mikaelson, begging pitifully for her to do something.
"hope," she pressed. "please."
"let me take care of you, liz. just this once."
"hope, we're soulmates. we take care of each other." lizzie chuckled, brushing her nose against hope's as their lips finally met in a long, passionate kiss. 

hope gently moved off lizzie and settled beside her with a warm smile, leaving one arm laying over lizzie's abdomen and caressing her skin softly.
"so, what should we do today as our first day as official soulmates?" lizzie asked, letting the sheet fall off the left side of her chest, exposing her breast. hope's eyes travelled to her exposed skin and moved her hand up to gently caress around her nipple. lizzie rolled her eyes and answered for her girlfriend. 
"how do you feel about a picnic? I thought we could invite everyone, including fiona, ester and kayla. we haven't seen them for a while. I heard kayla is up on her feet and ester gave her a daisy from the garden everyday throughout her recovery."
