Watasumiko Coastal Aquarium buzzed with excitement over its latest attraction announcement: a captivating real-life mermaid exhibit. The news spread like wildfire through the small coastal town, drawing the curiosity of locals and tourists alike. Everywhere you turned, conversations buzzed with anticipation and wonder about this mythical creature brought to closer sight.

'Watasumiko Coastal Aquarium preaches a new exhibit at the main centre, A real-life mermaid! COME VISIT! The first 100 tickets are promised a photo of you and a mermaid, a $100 gift shop voucher, and new........ etc.'

"I heard they're offering special incentives for the first 100 visitors," remarked Kokomi, her enthusiasm palpable as she walked alongside me after my shift. She glanced over with a mischievous grin. "Are you going? I could probably snag you a ticket."

I appreciated her offer smiled and replied, "Thanks, Kokomi, but I think I'll pass this time. Are you planning to check it out, though?"

Kokomi's smile widened as she leaned in closer, her voice lowering conspiratorially. "Oh, I've already had a sneak peek," she whispered, her breath warm against my ear. I raised an eyebrow in confusion. "But the exhibit isn't open until Saturday, and you work with tropical fish, not mythical creatures like mermaids."

She chuckled softly. "Let's just say I have my ways~ And from what I've seen, it's not what you'd expect. It's a 'he'."

"A 'he'?" I echoed, surprised.

"A he." She mimicked.

"But how... I mean, wouldn't a mermaid be..."

Kokomi interrupted with a knowing smirk. "Trust me, appearances can be deceiving. This coastal air does wonders...

"Oh trust me... I know!"

"Good, you should know! You're a very sexy lady, men are blind."

"Thanks, Kokomi," I laughed, shaking my head at her teasing. "You always know how to keep things interesting."

"Hehe~"

Our conversation ebbed as we walked, thoughts swirling about the upcoming exhibit and Kokomi's cryptic hints.

I lightly chuckled randomly in the conversations.

"Dont you think it's such a waste to make a whole 'close up' enclosure for a mermaid when you can see them easily in the water from the marina view or several peers and high areas, maybe anywhere where there is water, once in a while, you can see merfolk, one at a time of course, but, you can see them if you wait and look long enough."

"What.?" kokomi replied then continued, "Where are you seeing mermaids??"

I look at her, confused.

"Babe! Give me your luck! I've seen a mermaid once or twice in my whole time, and both those times I was with you.?" she giggled, I was silent.

"Haha, do you attract merfolk or something?"

I down, thinking to myself. Kokomi leans closer to me and lifts my face to hers as we stop walking, she smiles gently. "Hey! I'm gonna head home now! Let's visit the aquarium, maybe the merman will fall in love with you since you attract merfolk~"
