~°°°~LITTLE ONES~°°°~
She looked so small. As if she had just turned into a kid...
Boruto couldn't make any sense of it. He even rubbed his eyes and pinched his cheeks to check if it was a dream.
But it wasn't. And that was the most damned thing of all.
"Sarada? Is this you?" He finally let out the words. The little Sarada looked up at him, clutching her skirt tightly and nodded.
She was smaller and wore the skirt that she used to when she was a kid. Her hair was tied in two ponytails.
Boruto dropped the woods and sat on one knee in front of her. "How- how did this happen?"
"I-"
A voice called Boruto's name from some distance, and he froze this time for sure. "Boruto?" She asked and put her hand on his shoulder.
He jumped and stared at older Sarada behind him with wide eyes. "WHAT THE ACTUAL-"
"Keep it down, idiot!" Sarada whispered immediately shutting him up by putting her hand on his mouth. He still stared at her wide eyed.
When he didn't scream anymore, nor tried to, she left him and got up.
He kept sitting there, moving his eyes from older Sarada to the kid one again and again. "How the heck are you not shocked?!" He yelled in a whisper getting up slowly and then dusting of the dirt from his jacket.
Sarada looked at him. But there was another figure that moved behind her. Boruto swore he was nearly about to faint when he saw his younger self behind Sarada.
"What the heck is happening..." He asked, more like a statement, unable to digest the two younger kids in front of them.
"I found him when I was gathering some fruits," Older Sarada stated. "You used to be such a brat, to be honest," She laughed.
Both Borutos rolled their eyes. But the older one did it with a smile. "Cut it out," He said. "Look at yourself. You used to be so shy- I wonder how did you turn out like this," He also thought about how cute was she as a child, but decided not to say it.
"Hey! What is that supposed to mean?"
Boruto chuckled.
Both of them saw little Sarada run behind little Boruto. She clutched his jacket while he patted her head, "It's alright, we're gonna leave soon,"
Older Sarada smiled softly seeing them, "Maybe you were only half of a brat,"
Boruto grinned, "I'm glad," He said jokingly and then turned to the kids. "Hey, little me and little her, any idea how did this happen?" He asked.
Little Boruto glared at him, "A bad fairy like something told us we had to lead you both," He answered.
"She said... older us are suffering because of us... and she sent us to make it better," Little Sarada started looking down. Then she looked at little Boruto. "She wasn't bad... she wasn't a fairy either,"
"Then why did she just push us into that black big thing?" Little Boruto asked.
"She just wanted us to-"
Older Sarada cut them off, "Now, now, little me and little him. Don't argue," She sat in front of them and smiled, "Explain clearly what happened, and then we'll do something about it,"
Older Boruto smiled softly at them and sat beside older Sarada with a grin.
"Well, the bad fairy told us to keep the reason a secret," Little Boruto started.
