[Time skip --- After 6 months]
It was 7 in the evening. Haerin and Danielle were both lying in Danielle's room. The latter was deep in slumber, her head resting on Haerin's chest and her arms draped across her torso.
Haerin simply lay there, eyes wide open, staring at the ceiling while gently stroking Danielle's hair.
It's been five hours since Danielle decided to have her power nap. It's been so long it's not even a nap anymore, but Haerin couldn't bring herself to wake the girl up.
She knew Danielle was tired after doing her groceries for the month. Haerin helped her, of course, buying everything she needed for her apartment: equipment, food, and more.
She could have carried all the bags herself, thanks to her unworldly strength, but Danielle insisted on carrying some boxes too.
She didn't want to let Haerin do all the lifting just because she was stronger, feeling like she'd be taking advantage of her friend's abilities.
When they returned home, they got busy arranging all the groceries and other stuff.
Needless to say, all the work—even with Haerin's help—still drained Danielle.
Haerin sighed as she looked at Danielle's sleeping figure. She looked beautiful and calm even while asleep; Haerin didn't want to disturb her. But she was also hungry—yes, she could feel hunger. It sucked.
Haerin sighed again and gently shook Danielle. "Dani, wake up." Danielle didn't move. She shook her again.
"C'mon, wake up." she lightly poked her cheeks non-stop. Danielle finally stirred, rubbing her eyes. She looked at Haerin. "What time is it, Haerinie?" she asked, her voice hoarse.
"It's already 7:30," Haerin said, looking at her watch. She then looked into Danielle's eyes and pouted. "I'm hungry."
Danielle chuckled at Haerin's cuteness. She barely saw this side of her, and it was absolutely priceless.
She didn't know vampires could be this cute and cuddly. "Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" she asked, giggling.
"You were tired. And you looked peaceful; I didn't want to disturb your sleep," Haerin answered as she stood up at the side of the bed.
She grabbed Danielle's arm and tried pulling her up, not using her strength so she wouldn't hurt her. "C'mon, I'm craving something sweet. You promised to bake me some cookies," she said, still trying to make Danielle leave the bed.
But Danielle made herself heavy to stay on the bed. She couldn't get enough of Haerin's cuteness, so she decided to tease her a little.
"I still want to sleep though, Haerinie," she pretended to whine. She snatched her arm back from Haerin's hold and pretended to yawn. "Let me sleep for another hour, yeah?"
Haerin sighed and sat on the bed, looking at Danielle. "You've been sleeping for five hours," she said as she placed a hand on her own tummy and looked at it. "And I'm hungry. I want something sweet."
Danielle laughed at this. Haerin was so freaking cute.
"Aww, come here," she said as she pulled Haerin into a hug. "You're so cute, Haerinie," she cooed, still holding her tightly.
"I'm not cute. I'm cool... and hungry" Haerin said as she tried to break free from the hug, but Danielle just held her tighter.
So instead of fighting her off, Haerin moved on top of her, thinking of something that could make Danielle leave the bed. She held the sides of Dani's waist.
At this, Danielle felt a wave of electric sparks, and her cheeks heated up. But then, suddenly, Haerin started tickling her.
A roar of laughter erupted from Danielle. Haerin knew how ticklish Dani was. This could definitely make her leave the bed.
"S-stop, Haerin," Danielle said between laughter, trying to wiggle away from Haerin. "Will you stand up if I stop?" Haerin asked, still tickling her. Enjoying Danielle's laughter.
"I will, I will," Danielle answered immediately. Haerin stopped tickling her and raised her head to look at Danielle below her.
Danielle's face was flushed and very pink from laughter, and she was panting hard, trying to catch her breath.
The look on Danielle's face made Haerin feel a thousand things. Thoughts flooded her mind, specifically involving her on top of Danielle in bed, much like their position now, but more intimate.
Much more intimate.
She wanted to punch herself for thinking about those things, but she couldn't stop the images in her mind.
Her breath became ragged with all those images. She closed her eyes tightly and moved her head to the crook of Danielle's neck.
"What's wrong?" she heard Danielle ask, noticing Haerin's troubled demeanor.
Haerin breathed deeply. She could smell Danielle very well. "You smell so sweet," she told her, unable to keep her mouth shut.
Danielle giggled at this, but her heart significantly doubled its pace. "So... you're craving for me?" she asked, obviously teasing Haerin.
Haerin, shocked by her words, snapped her head upwards to look at Danielle, only to see her teasing look.
Danielle continued. "You said you're craving for something sweet, and you said I'm sweet. So..." Danielle teased, her brows raising up and down.
Haerin knows that Danielle was just teasing her, but maybe because of her hunger, or just the way how beautiful Danielle looked right now that made her confident enough to teased back.
She matched the intensity of Danielle's stare and smirked. She looked at her and moved her face slowly closer to Danielle's.
"What if I do?" she asked, her voice deep and sexy. Danielle gulped. She didn't think Haerin would tease back.
She avoided Haerin's gaze. "I...I think I'll bake you some really sweet cookies," she said, stuttering.
She tried to stand up from the bed, but Haerin expertly held both of her hands and placed them between her head.
"I think I found something sweeter," Haerin said, keeping her gaze on Danielle.
She looked into her beautiful brown eyes, down to her pointy nose, and finally to her luscious pink lips. Haerin bet they were sweeter than anything in the world.
She wanted to kiss her. It was all she wanted right now, and she had no desire to fight against it.
Slowly, she moved closer to the beauty beneath her. She wanted to kiss her lips, yes, but also she didn't want to do it without Danielle's permission.
So with all the self-control she could muster, she gently placed a tentative kiss on the side of Danielle's lips. She rested her forehead against Danielle's, their noses touching due to the proximity.
Even without using her vampire abilities, she could feel Danielle's rapid heartbeat.
She then looked into her eyes, wordlessly asking if she could continue.
Danielle gently caressed Haerin's cheeks, making Haerin's breath hitch. Ironically, the vampire felt weak against her touch.
Danielle then placed her hands on the back of Haerin's neck, causing a shiver to run through Haerin's body.
"Kiss me," Danielle whispered.
