As I stood frozen in time, a figure materialized in front of me. The person was silhouetted in a soft glow, their features obscured by the hazy light. I watched, mesmerized, as they approached me, a sense of familiarity washing over me.
The figure continued to come closer, their voice cutting through the silence like a whisper. They spoke with an air of knowing, as if they understood the questions that had been swirling in my mind.*"You want answers, don't you?"
I nodded, unable to find my voice. My gaze remained locked on the figure, my ears straining to hear their next words.
*The figure's words sliced through the air like a dagger, sending a chill down my spine. "You were never supposed to go to Lily's house," they said, their tone matter-of-fact. "Luka was supposed to die, but instead you took his place and ruined his canon death."*
My eyes widened as the figure produced a file seemingly out of thin air. It was a detailed record of Luka's life, with a section dedicated to his planned death. I could see every event and decision laid out, leading up to a specific moment that was now changed because of me.
Melody askes, "What are you?"
The figure responded to my question with a stoic confidence."I'm a god," they said simply. "My job is to keep the universe in order, to ensure that everything plays out as it should. If the universe isn't kept in balance, then it risks falling apart and collapsing in on itself
The god's words echoed in my mind, a sense of dread settling in. "If you had stayed dead," they continued, "the universe would have collapsed. But we don't have much time left. Luka has to die, or the entire universe will suffer." The weight of the situation washed over me, the gravity of my actions suddenly feeling immense.
*I stood silently, trying to process the enormity of what the god was telling me. Luka's death was still a part of the universe's order, and if it didn't happen, then everything could come crashing down.*
*I finally found my voice, the question slipping out. "Why are you telling me this?" I repeated, my voice shaky.**The god observed me with a mixture of interest and understanding. They leaned in slightly, their gaze fixed on me.*
The god's eyes met mine, a hint of compassion in their steady gaze. They considered my question before responding."I'm telling you this," the god said gently, "because you need to understand the consequences of your actions. You saved Luka's life, which changed the course of events. As a result, the universe is now slightly out of balance."
The god's tone grew more serious as they continued to speak. "Don't make things worse than they already are," they warned. "Don't be a problem. Let the universe correct itself by allowing Luka's destiny to unfold as it should." Their words hung heavily in the air, a firm reminder of the stakes at play.
I stood there, shocked and speechless. The god's words echoed in my mind, their warning hanging heavy in the air. I wanted to protest, to argue that there had to be another way, but the god's authority was undeniable.
Time suddenly unfroze, and the world around me sprang back to life. Luka's voice filled the air as he continued speaking, completely unaware of the encounter I had just had.
I shook my head, trying to refocus my attention on the present. Luka's words floated through my ears, but my mind was still partially occupied by the conversation with the god. I was torn between wanting to tell Luka everything and wanting to keep it to myself.
