"Akai ito wa musubarete iru. Fate ties us with an invisible red thread."

"Emiko!" Kotoko exclaimed as she rushed over to the opened doors, glancing just in time to see Emiko suddenly engulfed by the darkness of the dimly lit corridor.
Kotoko braced herself with one hand at the room entrance, dropping her phone in the process but ignoring it as she hunched over.
She let out a small sigh of relief upon seeing that Emiko was alright, though the tension in the air was unmistakable. Emiko's arms were flailed out, her body tense as if still waiting for impact. Her wide eyes were locked on the man who had caught her.
Kotoko's gaze trailed up the hand wrapped around Emiko's waist, and she was greeted with a familiar side profile.
"Eh?! Osukā?" She squinted her eyes just to make sure. It was indeed him. The boy who was paired with Emiko for a documentary. The boy who had shared a house with Emiko for a month. The boy who Kotoko thought...
"Oscar? Are you okay?" A man called out from behind Oscar.
Both Emiko's and Oscar's heads shot to Kotoko, then to the approaching figure behind them before shuffling away.
Emiko turned slightly away from Oscar, her eyes fixed on the floor, but her gaze was distant and unfocused as she bit her tongue absentmindedly. That was Emiko's tell that usually meant that she was taking a break from the world or that she had zero but a million thoughts all at once. In this case... it was probably the latter.
Oscar's eyes remained on her, filled with shock and some other emotion Kotoko couldn't decipher.
The figure made his way in front of Kotoko, bending down before reappearing with her dropped phone.
Matt had accidentally glanced at the text message the girl next to him had sent, asking about the F1 schedule tomorrow.
"F1? Are you a fan?" He shot a cocky grin to the girl with light stands of blue in her dark hair. Honestly, it looked quite cool to him.
Kotoko's English wasn't the best, but she managed to piece together what he was saying. When she did, she rolled her eyes at the man in front of her.
Giving her a cocky grin was one thing.
Giving her a cocky grin after reading her messages was another.
It felt like he was making fun of her for being a fangirl.
She snatched back her phone from him. The action made him chuckle as he pushed his glasses up and looked towards the girl who Oscar had caught.
His eyes widened at the sight. "Amy? I'm a fan." He blurted, astonished.
His sudden slip of words caused Emiko to turn around and Kotoko to scoff.
"Oh, hello." She whispered and gave him a small bow, totally out of it still.
"I'm a huge, huge fan. You're the songwriter and producer for one of my favorite bands, The 1975. You wrote my favourite song too, 'About You.' Have you think I've forgotten... Have you think I've forgotten about youuu," Matt hummed and spoke as if he had a sugar rush.
Oscar looked at his, probably tone-deaf, race engineer, speechless at the side of Matt he had never seen before until now. If it wasn't for the girl with platinum blonde hair who was involved, he would probably have been laughing his guts out but... she was.
