Chapter 10 |Ghost

Silas POV:

Throughout the next couple days Lilith kept to her promise, never bumping into us never talking I don't think she even comes out of her room. God knows what she does there. She has been eating less. While Drystan has drowned himself into the mafia he doesn't seem to be keeping a close enough eye on her.

And well Theo- is just Theo trying to ignore her existence. But of course i'm not going to do that now am I? The cameras we have don't save footage if you're not here in the moment you don't see it happening. So from what Iv'e gathered Becca brings her breakfast lunch and dinner. Leaves it outside her room and she comes up and grabs it. We don't have cameras in the rooms for many reasons-

Right now. I'm watching the camera outside her room. Trying to figure out exactly how she knows when Becca brings the food. But then I saw something I didn't expect.

She left her room.

I jump backwards causing me to fall out of my seat. She's dressed in all white? She Really does look like a ghost. She just kind of stands there for a minute before raising something to her lips. Is that a fucking walkie-talkie? Where the fuck did she get that? After a couple minutes of talking. I can't hear her we only have cameras not microphones.

Suddenly she looks directly at the camera. Stand there for a good couple seconds. Flips the camera off. Who snitched? Bitchy much? And makes her way down to the living room Lilith quickly makes a beeline for the book shelf stacks books higher than her head and walks out.

I switch it to the next camera and see a cat? Wait I'm the only one who has a cat- THAT'S MY CAT. Oh this little- Wait how is she holding a cat and like 20 books? Then I watch as she disappears back in her room. What the fuck is she going to do with 20 books? Man I'm chaotic as fuck.

Lilith POV:

It's been 6 days since they saw me stumbling out in the hall back to my room. And the last 6 days I've kept my promise that I'm out of sight.

The first two days I did nothing like nothing I was not active at all. Becca dropped off a meal and a walkie talkie on the first day and I kinda spent my day listening to Becca chatter or changing the channel to listen to the guards channel which is boring until I realised Dante runs that channel so I've just been increasingly annoying towards him.

4 days ago

Around the end of the second day around 11 pm I realised nothing is stopping me from leaving my room if I'm not seen. So for 4 hours I wandered the manor looking for something to do.

Now that my brothers are back the guards and staff in this house have become increasingly scarce my body dragged me towards what I'm calling the parlour of the house where the two small bookshelf's are. Picking up nine books I disappear back into my room with something to do.

The books I stole earlier are on the floor in a pile by my bed and the books I read have been placed onto the shelf in my room. Finder's keepers. Well not really but I live here now so? No really they were covered in dust most likely never touched in years.

Present time.

I walk out of my room dressed in all white. If I'm a ghost better act like one. Looking up I notice a little white dot on what must be a camera when I saw the camera here the first time there was no white dot.

The only black I have is the walkie talkie in my hand. Like I said If I'm a ghost I better act like one. I turn the channels on the walkie, until I'm on the channel the guards use.

"Hey Dante, I've noticed a couple cameras around the house how do they work?"

"Lilith we went over this why don't you bug Becca or something, but the camera feed is live and accessed by a room in the manor pretty sure you found it already? Anyways no footage is stored it's all live and it's only cameras there's no listening devices and of course no cameras in bedrooms or guest rooms."

"So for say the footage is real time and live?"

"It is."

"And how do you tell if someone is watching you?"

"Your not supposed to be able to but your brother added a feature if the computer is screen is currently on your camera then a small white light should be seen."

"Thanks Dante! I got to go bye!"

Looking up at the white light I initially spotted on the camera, I have a guess on who's watching me. Silas, the boy that said nothing. Drystan is never in the house. And Theo could care less and well the guards would see nothing out of place and continue.

I stand there debating if this is morally correct. It's not do i give two shits? No. I flip him off. Before turning and walking away.

I mean he deserved it right? He didn't even stand up for me. Even if Drystan hates me (probably) he defended my rights to being in the house.

I quickly make a beeline towards the bookshelf in the parlour a grey ball of fur wrapping around my legs. Huh they have a cat they didn't seem like the type. I still have books to read but like the more the better. I pick out a huge stack of books balancing them in one pile. With one last thought I pick up the cat and head back into my room.

Okay chaotic. Now idk what to say ily you readers if your here. please vote <3.

Okay wait this is my vent/story time. So i was writing and got bored and said let me get a protein drink! well we had none. So i took a ten minute walk to the grocery store but bc i wanted to get out and move i took a longer route taking me like 18 minutes? anw half way thru i see this black truck following me and i think 'odd okay maybe they going to the grocery store too' and well in the grocery store i see them and i go its nothing to worry abt. Well later after i left the store i decide to take a more direct route home w my protein shake, but I SEE THIS MFING CAR BEHIND ME AGAIN. So instead of going home i live two minutes away from a park i go to. And it's like a kids park (i am a young teen so it's not weird for me to be walking there.) now i see the car pass and i'm like 'phew' until it pulls into the lot so i start running and i see a tree i climb up in this tree and see the guy climb out of the car (he looks like 50). So i keep climbing my tree or wtv and hes walking around. When it looks like hes finally i climb down until i see him again- so i walk up to this woman and say 'hey mom i got the protein shake you wanted.' she looks at me for a minute grabs the shakes says "thanks sweetie" opens it and w out missing a beat drinks it. While callign her kid over she looked like 10? anw they helped me out. SHOUT OUT TO THAT MFING QUEEN OF A MOM. LITTERALY AMAZING I WILL FOREVER THANK YOU.

Also if you read that thanks i just needed to vent.
