Silas POV:
It's raining again.
I exit the dining room, before deciding it's useless, I should just watch a movie. No matter how many times I say that I can't seem to relent. I want to find Lilith, show her the forest behind the house.
Drystan had the same idea, just when it was sunny. But she loves the rain. This would be better. Exiting the next room, my footsteps lead me to Drystan's office maybe he has seen her?
Opening the door I'm met with the messiest Drystan had ever been. Papers covering every surface sticky notes on some. Some of the papers seem to be pinned to the wall. There's knife marks in one.
I let my fingers trace over it, twelve individual throws. Twelve times Drystan lost control, walking deeper into the office I find him knee deep in papers, scattered from the floor to piling up on his desk, and his phone was angrily wringing off the hook.
Without a second glance at me or even a first, he starts to talk the words flying out of his mouth in a complete loss of control.
"The mafia paperwork from our safe house in Spain, has been lost to a fire, I just spent the last eight hours covering up the death of that creep from the coffee shop, Theo went back and killed him, luckily he had no family or friends. The crime rate has gone up by 9% within the last week, and not just here in other towns with high mafia chances. Not to mention the god dam trip we are going to have to take. We don't need to leave l.a but we need to solve some problems with the French and I'd prefer we keep them away from Lilith. Not to mention Theo is not much help." He gestures vaguely to the other side of the room. Groaning he bashes his head down on the desk.
Oh. Theo's here.
Theo waves at me, before continuing to read through whatever he was reading before, not sure what to do I stay rooted to the spot observing the situation.
"Well as much as I'd love to help, do you know where Lilith is?" I question really just trying to find an excuse not to drown myself in paperwork and never leave this office again.
They both look up at me in synchrony, and without another word simply shake their heads. Creepy.
"Well I've searched everywhere in the house and can't seem to find her, took me two hours and no luck none of the staff have seen her either." I grumble, every window I passed every patter of the rain makes me nervous like it's challenging me have you found her yet?
Without another word Drystan pulls back his chair and sprints out of the office and down the hall. Without a second glance back we follow him, turning down each hallway faster, I use the edge of the walls to push myself forwards until we glide into the security room.
Drystan begins questioning everyone while Theo and I sit down and check the live footage for her.
"She didn't leave her room, no one saw it happening the camera there was live all morning." Without another thought the three of us jump back into action.
Please.
Please.
Please.
Just be out on the roof, just be safe. Opening the door we check her room.
Empty. Window open. Please be safe.
¡Mierda! Está lloviendo muy fuerte ahí fuera, dudo mucho que ella salga. Y mucho menos desde su ventana. ¡Mierda! (Fuck! It's raining really hard out there I doubt she would have gone outside, let alone from her window. FUCK.)
Stressed Drystan changes languages rapid fire speaking words flying off his tongue and he throws his head in his hands. While his words process in my brain I realise...
That's Exactly what Lilith would do.
And I can't help but laugh only Lilith would go out in such weather by climbing off the roof. My laughter dies down into a lower tone before dispersing completely.
"That my dear brother sounds exactly like something Lilith would do." A smile tugs lightly on my lips as I slip out onto her roof letting the rain pour down onto me before climbing down into the tree. Hitting the ground with a thud. I wait for my brothers to do the same.
I remember my first encounter with Lilith, out on the roof where she expressed her love for the rain. Which is now soaking me to the bone.

We stand outside of a garden with an eight foot picket fence in front of us, I remember my childhood nights here when mom died Drystan closed it off, I was only seven. Exactly five years after Lilith was taken. Theo was eight and Drystan was twelve.
"she couldn't climb this..." That might have been Theo.
"On the contrary she's stronger than you think." I flash them both a smile before Taking after her hoping over the fence.
I don't need to know what she went through to know it scared her, the girl I know, the sister I know seems like the type to keep going no matter what. She's stronger than they think I can tell.
While both Theo and I hop over the fence, Drystan walks through the door, before pocketing the key once again. I watch him curiously. He spent the most time here.
Unmoving his eyes skim over the garden scanning the scene in front of him. "We used to play here... tulips were momma's favourite.." His voice cracks with every word he says. Instead of talking he moves on the softness in his gaze is determined.
This must be harder for him than I thought.
