"Harry, do you wanna hang with me and Mikey?" Calum asks when coach said it's time to hit the showers. I glance at Michael who quickly nods his head, kind of telling me that he's okay with me joining them.

"Uh, sure. What're we gonna do?" I ask curiously and all of a sudden there's a cheeky smile on Calum's features. It lights up his entire face.

"Well, first we're gonna shower and everything. But after that we're heading to tesco and buying some hair dye. Then we're heading to my house and we're gonna dye Mikey's hair." Calum says and I glance at Michael who is grinning.

"Sounds fun. I'll just wait for you guys to get ready then." I smile at Calum, shooting Mikey a smile too before walking out of the locker room. I grab my phone from my pocket and quickly send Ashton a text.

To: Ashton
Calum asked me to hang out with him and his friend! They are so nice and I just, I'm so happy they want to hang out with me! Things might turn around for me now Ash! :D

I quickly take this opportunity to ring up mum too, to let her know that I'm not coming home. For a while there's only tones ringing and I'm just about to hang up when she finally picks up.

"Hello?" mum answers and I smile instantly when I hear her voice. I've always been, and probably always will be, a mama's boy. That's just the way it is.

"Hi mum. Listen, you know Calum that I told you about?" I pause, waiting for her to hum or something, just give me any sign that she recalls who Calum is. She does and I open my mouth to continue.

"Well, he asked me if I wanted to hang out with him and his friend and I said yes so I won't be coming home right after the game. I'm gonna hang out with them for a while." I'm a bit nervous that she's gonna get mad about the fact that I didn't ask her if it was okay first, but I'm 18 years old. I should be able to hang out with friends if I want to.

"Oh, how fun Harry! Do you need money for food or anything? I can transfer to your account." the tone she speaks in is a happy, kind of giddy tone and it makes my smile grow.

"Uh, yeah I don't know if we'll go out for food or something but it would be nice if you could transfer some money just in case." I say awkwardly. I actually don't even know if we're going to eat together.

"Of course honey. I hope you'll have an amazing time with your new friends." I couldn't possibly love my mum any more than I do.

"Thanks mum. Love you."

"Love you too sweetie." I quickly hang up and enter the Instagram app instead. I scroll through my feed for a while but I'm bored way too quickly. So for a while I just stand out there, leaned against the wall, playing around on my phone. Entering and exiting apps and just tapping away on it.

"Harry! You ready?" Calum's voice appears out of nowhere and I turn my head to look at him. I grin before locking my phone.

"Isn't it me who should be asking you that?" I ask in a playful and teasing tone. Calum chuckle as I walk over to him.

"Perhaps." he muses and I grin. I've never had it this easy to make friends. But it seems Calum and I just clicked. Michael is laughing at us while shaking his head. We all begin to walk towards the closest tesco and we haven't walked far before Michael starts complaining.

"Calum! My bag is so heavy can you carry it for me?" he asks in a whiny voice. I laugh softly at him while Calum flips him off. Small banter occurs between the two boys as we walk but I notice how fond they are of each other none the less.

"Hey Calum, what color do you think I should dye my hair this time?" Michael asks and when I glance at him he's wearing a thoughtful expression.

"Purple." Calum says with a wide grin. Michael scrunches up his face.
