I rested on the bed, staring at the ceiling. It's been three days since I started packing for the academy. My father suggested that I start my departure tomorrow as it would take some time to get there. Some items remain unfinished, but the majority of them have been completed. I feel quite sad because I haven't left my house in a long time. In addition, I cannot do anything without my father.

Soft knocks can be heard at the door. I sit up and ask, "Yes?". "It's me,may I enter?" The voice sounded exactly like father's. "Sure," I responded. He entered my room and looked at the items I had packed. "Did you pack everything?" asked him. "There's still some items left, however it's not much," I replied. He approached the bed and perched on the edge of it. "Father, do you think I can do well?" I asked him sadly. "Of course, my dear. You are my daughter. No one can look down on you"

The departure time arrives. I'm outside the mansion, waiting for all the maids to load my goods into the carriage. I'm dressed in a simple but gorgeous outfit that reaches my ankles. I chose a simple dress because the travel will be long. Valentin has also come to bid me farewell. Father and Vance? Well, they both headed to the palace for work.

I feel a pat on the back; it's Valentin, who presumably caught me lost in thought. "Don't worry too much; if someone bothers you, write us a letter. I and Vance will take care of it," he stated. I could see the murderous aura around him. There's no predicting what he'll do...
"I would rather not..." I said.

After a while, I am finally in the carriage and we are taking off. I could tell that I was gradually approaching the dukedom boundary. I glance around the town because I will be gone for a long time, but I will definitely return if I have a long break. I wish Father and Vance were there to say farewell, but I understand...work is also important.

Hours later, the carriage suddenly stops. "My lady, we are at the magic teleportation, and the carriage can't get through more than here." I hear the coachman conversing. He then opens the carriage door and assists me out. It's quite a large space surrounded by trees. I could see some wizards concentrating on keeping their mana stable.

There are a few other people here, most likely academy students. I move my face, trying to spot anyone. It was pointless to look because I didn't have any friends... I could feel their eyes on me. I mean? Who would not? I just got out of a carriage with the well-known Duke's symbol on it.

<Author's note>

So as i promise, I'll clear some things here

So the main character's name is Valerie Ryana Astor. [you're free to imagine how she looks, but sometimes I'll describe it just for the storyline]

She has two older brother who is a twin

•He's specialised in swordsmanship and politics

The second brother :
•Valentin Valen Astor
•He has long hair unlike his older twin and isn't that interested with the heir thing.
•He's specialised in magic and currently trying to learn more about ancient magic which is why he dream to explore the world instead of fighting to be the heir.
