I'm reading a book as I wait for the wizard to finish the portal. They are definitely taking their time... I don't much enjoy reading, but there isn't much else to do here...

Suddenly, I felt an immense blast of wind rushing towards me, blowing my book into the hands of the culprit. A black-haired man with purple eyes scanned the book before looking at me.

"Since when does the precious duke's princess like to read books?" He asked.

That voice I recognise it. I fixate my sight on him, captivated in those purple eyes, a symbol of royalty in this land. Beautiful black jet hair that mesmerised me...and that annoying mouth . I know him..,Cedric Von Illyrion, the kingdom's only prince.

I frown at him, he had fun mocking me since we were kids, and I'm not sure why. His purple eyes would glow every time he did that, and his laughing face... is a devil disguise... it's nearly difficult to look at him and not fall in love. I despised it.

"Why are you here?" I asked him bluntly. Most people would be scared talking like that to a royal, but what? My father is a duke, and the emperor favors him.

He then chuckles and looks at me with soft eyes.
"Feisty, huh? You didn't change..." I glare at him more. What does he even mean? Is he trying to flirt?

He then leaned on the tree beside me and continued talking with that annoying mouth.
"I'm here for the academy, obviously. Aren't you here for that too?" I just replied to him with a nod, and my face started to sadden thinking about my family at the manor.

"What's with the face? I'm actually surprised that the duke actually got you here... and don't think too much, I know that this kind of thing wouldn't bother  you." He stated, trying to comfort me? How weird...

"Stop talking... your voice is hurting my ears," I replied with a serious face, hoping he wouldn't actually take it seriously. "By the way, don't act naturally with me, YOUR HIGHNESS; I dislike attention." I definitely feel the gaze from others, and it sure is uncomfortable.

He suddenly stops leaning on the tree and ruffles my hair. "Nice to see you again, Ryanie," He says before walking away. For God's sake, who does he think he is? A prince? I mean...
he is...

"It's Ryana!" I corrected him.
Ryanie...
Ryanie...
Ryanie...
That's a nickname only he uses. If he wants to say my name, at least do it correctly . "What a weirdo prince," I mutter to myself.

After a while, the wizard finally finishes. I thought it would take years. I'm definitely not in a good mood because people keep distancing themselves more after that purple-eyed weirdo talked to me.

I'm in one of the groups that is being escorted first because of our higher rank. I thought they didn't care about rank here, but apparently they still do. I follow the escorts looking at the portal, it's definitely amazing knowing how magic works, slowly understanding the reason why Brother Valentin wants to study magic and ancient magic.

After the instructions were given, I started making my way to the portal. The powerful energy... I could feel it in my veins... gradually making me dizzy and blurring my vission with the white light... After a few seconds, I could sense the difference in air around me. I open my eyes and see a big castle-like building.

The academy.

Wait....now that i think about it..what about my luggage?!
