As you try to piece and piece all the details you can't help but feel like you don't remember a chunk of what happened before S.H.E.I.L.D got you out of ice.

Steve: "How you holding up Y/n?"

Y/n: "Alright, I'm doing fine for some waking up after nearly a century of sleeping."

Steve smiles: "It's alright Y/n, you're not alone."

This felt comforting but it soon dawned on you. All your friends, partners and co-workers are most probably dead by now or not old enough to recognize or remember you. Howard, Peggy, but most of all Bucky. You wonder how he feels knowing that he has been with you through tough times but you haven't been present for his that much. It breaks you the most realizing you will never see them again.

As you lay on the hospital bed waiting for your toughts to slowly come back you can't help but wonder how different today's time was with yours. No wars, sound of guns, bleeding people in the streets and you had to admit the outside world was peaceful. Except of course, the continued honking of cars and loud chattering of the people. But it was peaceful and made you feel safe.

You slowly drift into sleep going back to your memories but one in particular stood out. It was the last thing that happened that you remembered.

The memory started off with you walking out of the bar. You weren't wasted but somewhat drunk. It was almost Christmas and couldn't help yourself when some of your friends asked you out for drinking, but now that its over, you have to find a way back to camp.

You slowly started walking in the dark streets. Although the jolly mood flooded the air there was still the scared thought of surprise attacks and mini wars that end up in a catastrophe. But lets not fill our minds with negativity you say to yourself. You just had drinks with your friends, Bucky was saved, it was almost Christmas so why were you so negative.

While passing by a dark alleyway you can't help but shake off the feeling that someone is following you, but no matter how many times you look back the streeets where as empty as it could be on snowy midnight.

You continued the seemingly long walk flooded by many thoughs, some negative and some positive. You didn't even notice a strange guy bump into you.

After walking for just a while you suddenly feel your feet start to give out. This was unusual because you had strong legs, thanks to standing all day in the lab. But then your vission gets blurry. You walk to the nearest lamppost to keep you standing but no matter how long you wait it keeps getting worse, until you slowly lose consciousness.

You suddenly woke up in the hospital room, alone. Steve had important business and you, well you're still recovering. Its only been a day since your defrosting but you can't help but feel drain from your toughts. This last one didn't help too...
