Before we dive into the juicy parts, who are you and why are you in a hospital room?

Y/n Stark, sibling to Howard Stark, genius and works at the military. Although Howard was famous you too had a fair share of popularity during your time. Not only were you beautiful and a hit to many soldiers, but you were also very smart.

While Howard focused more on weapons, you had focused more on serums, like the super soldier serum which was one of your most famous accomplishments alongside your partner, professor and scientist, Abraham Erskine.

Your first experiment Steve Rogers was a success, but sadly in the experiment your partner died. It gained you popularity but never that much happiness as you couldn't celebrate your success with your partner.

In short you were sad but of course you couldn't hide it. Everyone but one person believed your mask. Sergeant James Bucky Barnes who always thought you were a brat but deep down knew your struggles as a child genius having to follow your brother's footsteps.

You and Bucky had a weird relationship...

Bucky: "Hey Stark, what kind of potions do you have in store today doll?"

Y/n: "Don't you have sergeant stuff to do, Barnes?"

Bucky: "Always have time to bother you, doll."

This weird relationship stayed that way, you never admitting your feelings for him and him being the play boy he is. But you were fine with that because at least he was there to support you during the tough times.

Now we know your weird relationship with Bucky, how's your relationship with your brother?

Howard was always your role model. A genius and a man with looks. He was a great brother, always engaging with you, especially about science. Although both of you chose different things to excel on, he never really left your side.

He was a great brother to say the least and you and him being close is a clear understatement. The only thing you didn't like about him is his resentment against Bucky. But you couldn't control that, older brothers were always overprotective for some reason. But nevertheless he still lets the soldier hang out with you from time to time.

Till one day

Bucky: "Hey doll, I'm gonna be away for a while. We have a mission. Don't miss me too much." he laughs

This wasn't new to you but something was off, but you rubbed it off nonetheless.

Y/n: "Alright bye, stay safe, alright."

All was great, till days pass and you haven't heard from him. This wasn't unusual because its hard to send letters during the war. But days turned into weeks and you slowly got worried. Until one day you couldn't hold your worries for him anymore...
