"I don't think I'll ever get tired of this jersey" I said as I put on the Mexico uniform for our upcoming match
It's been a couple of weeks since me and Dani have started to train with the national team. Ever since Coach Marquez has taken charge of the team, I feel like we've been improving significantly with every single training session.
My striker partnership with Santiago is going well, me and him playing in sync with each other. Dani has also been improving, with him having great chemistry with the rest of the team. I don't want to seem like I have an ego but with this team, the Gold Cup is basically in our hands.
Besides training I've been spending all of my free time with Jenna, I was forced but not like I was complaining about it. The paparazzi were becoming a problem, ever since the picture of us kissing in the airport they have been hounding us like crazy.
The first time we were hounded by them wasn't exactly ideal or fun.
~Flashback~
Jenna smiled softly at me across the table as I finished telling her about what happened in training today. We're sitting in a corner of a small cozy restaurant, the candle between us flickering and casting small shadows on our faces.
Jenna had set up this little date for us since I didn't really know the area that well yet, it's been a couple days since our picture went viral and thankfully we've been able to avoid the paparazzi for the last two days.
Well only because we've mostly been rotting on the couch after I finished my training sessions, but today was gonna be different!
"Don't ya think the candle is a bit cliche?" Jenna asked as she broke the comfortable silence
"I d'nt kn'.... Y'r th' actr'ss" I said with my mouth full of the last piece of food on my plate
Jenna gave me a little grimace on her face while shaking her head slightly, I quickly swallowed the food in my mouth before repeating myself
"I don't know, you're the actress and plus didn't me being cliche make you fall in love with me" I said with the classic L/N charm and a little wiggle of the eyebrows
Jenna simply scoffed at me before smiling at me and shaking her head.
