"Sweetheart."

6 months later you find yourself continuing to visit Sadie every weekend you can. She walked out again, sitting on the couch beside you. You immediately laid your head on her chest, Sadie becoming worried.

"What's wrong?" She asked you.

You pulled away and looked up at her, biting your lip as you debated on telling her. "Do- Do you remember the guy you stabbed?"

"Yes." Sadie answered and her eyes darkened as she imagined what you'd say next.

"He's uh back and he tried to do the same thing again. No one was around and he shoved his hand up m-my skirt..." You had a hard time forming words. "A-and he-"

You broke down crying in Sadie's arms. She immediately cradled you, staring at the ground in anger. "It's okay, darling. You're okay, I promise." She pulled away and cupped your face. "Where was this?"

"At the store just around the corner. I didn't know he worked there." You sniffles, Sadie wiping the gears that fell.

"Hey, hey. Listen to me, baby." Sadie captured your attention. "When you leave, I want you to go straight home and tuck yourself in bed. You're going to put my hoodie on and watch your favorite movie." She kissed your forehead. "I promise you'll be okay."

"Okay." You inhaled. "I trust you." She smiled when you kissed her cheek.

"Sink." One of the guards approached her gently. "Time to go back."

Sadie nodded and you gave her one last tight hug. "I'll do what you said, baby. I love you."

"I love you more." She grinned and made sure to watch you leave before allowing the guard to take her away.

-

Sadie laid wide awake in her bed that night. Her finger mindlessly tapped relentlessly against her thigh, her eyes intensely glued to the ceiling as she envisioned all the things she'd do to the man who dared to touch you.

With a plan already hatching in her head, she immediately stood up. Sadie snatched all of her bed sheets off as well as her blankets, and pillow sheet. She tied them all together, forming a rope for the 7 foot drop from her window.

Sadie securely and tightly wrapped one side of the rope the pole of her bed and threw the other half out the window. Sadie rolled up the sleeves of her white long sleeve, slipping her blank shoes back on and climbing down the rope.

She dropped to the ground, hiding behind the bushes when she noticed the guards walking away to the entrance of the building. Sadie didn't hesitate to sneak away and successfully escape.

-

You relaxed back into your bed, cuddling the stuffed animal that Sadie won for you at the fair. And yes, you happily wore her fluffy, white hoodie.

All of a sudden, you heard a noise coming from downstairs. You jumped out of bed and slid your slippers on, grabbing the golf club from under the bed.

You slowly made your way downstairs, turning on every light along the way. When you reached the bottom step, you quickly flicked the light on and gasped, dropping the golf club when you say Sadie standing in the middle of the living room soaking wet from the rain.

"Sadie?" You took hesitant steps towards her. "What's wrong? How are you here, baby?" You carefully asked in a gentle tone. You warily eyed the red splotches on her jacket.

"I think I killed someone."
