Chapter name from Casual by Chappell Roan <33
Cindy wasn't one to get possessive over her boyfriends. Okay, that was a lie, she was very possessive and jealous. Especially when it came to Lily.
Lily was probably the only girl, in her eyes, that could compete with the blonde in both looks and personality. The two girls have been in a one sided beef since kindergarten that only Cindy has known of.
So when Felix asked out Lily on a date, something that he he'd never do for her,
She was a little peeved about it.
"Come on, come on, come on!" Cindy muttered under her breath while frantically ringing the doorbell to Huxley Manor.
"Hello?" the door cracked open revealing a dark blue eye peering down at her causesly.
"Ted, open the door." the blonde girl crossed her arms and tapped her foot on the concrete step impatiently. "I need to talk to Felix."
"Um, I don't know if that's a good idea-"
"Ugh!" she groaned and pushed past him. Theodore staggered backwards, surprised at the impressive strength she showed. Cindy's platform shoes clapped loudly against the expensive marble flooring as she made her way towards the grand staircase. She had traversed these halls many times before. Where others would get lost in its narrow halls and extravagant displays of wealth that covered every wall and piece of furniture, Cindy passed them without a second thought on her way to Felix's bedroom.
"Felix!" the mahogany door swung open, starling the blonde teen laying on the bed.
"Cindy? W-what are you doing here?" his eyes were wide with both confusion and slight anger. Ted slid into view, out of breath. "I tried to stop her-" Cindy slammed the bedroom door close in his face, trapping her and Felix in the space.
"So where were you today? I thought we were hanging out." feigning nonchalance as she moved closer to the bed, looking around at the furniture and decor she had seen a million times before.
"Cindy-"
"But!" she cut him off, glaring at him. "Lily posted you on her private story and tagged you." Now at the foot of the bed, Cindy crossed her arms over her chest. "Where were you?"
Something told him she already knew where he was.
"I was on a date, like I said I was doing." he sat up and swung his legs off of the side of the bed. "Why does it matter?" he was standing now so Cindy had to tilt her head up to meet him eye to eye.
"I just think it funny how-"
"Oh do not pull this bullshit Cindy." he cut her off, stepping closer to her. "We are not dating, just because we kissed once doesn't mean you have a claim over me!"
"So you're just gonna throw out what we have for who, Lily?!" Felix chose to disregard the dig on Lily.
"What do we have Cindy?!" Felix raised his voice. It was a genuine question, what did they have? They haven't kissed since Jerome and Monty's party, and that was just a peck on the cheek 'goodbye' before going upstairs to check on Monty.
"Well we're friends, and friends don't abandon each other to go on dates." She was grasping at straws now and she knew it. Cindy couldn't verbalize exactly why Felix dating Lily hurt her so much but she was never one to back down.
"I thought you said it was ok!"
"Oh come on, we both knew I didn't mean it!" she let out a humorless laugh, tears welling up in her eyes that she didn't dare let fall.
Felix was at a loss for words, opening his mouth to speak but the words died on his tongue. He groaned loudly in frustration, he dramatically put his hands in the air and clenched his fists. "I don't know what you want from me, Cindy! You were the one who wanted to stay friends!"
Cindy couldn't think of a rebuttal, she was trapped and feared that if she continued talking the dam keeping her tears at bay would
"And you know the worst part?" Felix kept talking, struggling to keep his own tears at bay. "I really liked you, Cin." Well, that was a surprise, not to anyone who knew them, but certainly a surprise to Cindy. "And all that's gone now..."
There was a moment of silence as the two stood almost chest to chest with each other, breathing heavily.
"You should go." Felix muttered under his breath.
"You're right." Cindy said even quieter. Walking past him, jabbing her shoulder into his arm as she passed.
"Do you need me to walk you out-"
"I'm fine." The door slammed shut once more leaving Felix alone once more.
Cindy def listened to Casual on loop after this
