(BAKU MADARAME'S POV)

Sagita Souya leaned back into the chair as he spoke with a small smirk: "Amnesia or not. This is ensured by the Royal Leader himself. Even the other referees nodded their heads."

He added calmly: "So. what brings you back to the Gambling Club? Surely enough, there is a reason you are here?"

I took a little deep breath, trying to steady my nerves, and spoke: "What happened after the incident?"

"You call that incident?" He sighed slightly and continued: "Well. Your friend. Tobito. Is dead"

"He was caught up."

I responded with a disappointed gaze and leaned on the table: "Fuck! Dammit, Tobito. You crappy head-"

"He didn't die because of you," Souya gazed at Baku like a hanging in the air. As he continued:

"Tobito's death was a result of the power struggle. He gambled against the 'Minister of Finance' himself..."

"What? That's even more idiotic..." I facepalmed and sighed at the mixed emotions of disappointment and grief.

"How exactly?" I thoughtfully said.

"He went all hundred mil... Without any support..." He replied with gruff but sincere.

"Mil- A mil!?" I asked, trying to exclaim as I spoke up in my mind:

It seems you haven't learned anything. I freaking told you to get off that Kakerou but you chose the hard way.

I took a deep breath as I spoke up again. Forgetting about him: "How much do you know about this school?"

"I just know the students, resources, and its rules." He said

"Hm?"

"Well... Dorms first. The receptionist gives out a key card and an information manual." He spoke and gave an explanation of the situation for the first day.

Manual huh? There must be rules of the dorms and schedules.

"What else?" I asked with a side gaze.

Dorms felt out of character. Maybe it is just me. Probably coed dorms. (coed means: Both men and women in the same dorms)

It's hard to believe that such a pampered and easy life can train students to be admirable adults,

It could be a 'deus ex machina' thing

(deus ex machina means: introduced into a situation suddenly)

He continued: "Well. Useless note but; The most expensive item in this school is... uh...

Oh yes. Its acrylic strands"

"Ain't that a cheap glass of plastic? Why is polymethylmethacrylate more expensive than Rolex or other gold?" I replied.

"Because pendants are more common. Statistically speaking."

"Oh. I see... The friend's thingy ma-jig?" I replied with a chuckle.
