❝ It's part of the game, who in this room is pure and good throughout, or who is just gold-plated, pretending they are not rotten on the inside. ❞
─ Davis Hawthorne.

WITH ALL THE NAMES IN A HAT, TRAGEDY CERTAINLY WANTED TO PICK PIPER BASILIO-GRAMBS TO BE IT'S MUSE. Tragedy had its tight grip on Piper even before she could walk and talk, and Piper knew he didn't have plans to let go any time soon. Piper feared for the moment when tragedy's grip would get so intense, she would feel his weight and his deathly grip place her in a permanent sleep, knowing that if she allows tragedy to win, that is what her life and death will be defined as.
AND SO, PIPER HAD TO TRY TO MAKE THE BEST of things as much as she could. Taking part in her adoptive mother's games right until she too had to have been taken from her, just like her birth mother and whoever decided it would be a grand idea to get within a vicinity of the teenage girl. It also didn't help that Piper had a tendency to gain such a high affinity for a certain thing that it is all she could ever find herself obsessing over. One affinity defining in the terms of how fire is both life and destruction, another being art, defined by how it is both fantasy and creation.
