Heroes Of Eldoria
The Hidden One.
Listen closely, I found out that this book has a lot of empty pages, so I figured I'd put in my story so the next chosen one will find out about the last, I don't know? 3 Centuries? Anyways, let me set the scene. Brooklyn, New York in an old house that if you guessed belonged to an old man.. Well you'd be right. It was my summer stay at my grandfather's house and my parents were gone. To tell you the least, that was normal, but I usually just discarded that for an opportunity for personal time, but with my grandpa home, something was nudging me to spend time with him. So, I checked around the house and, weirdly enough, he wasn't there. I found the basement. Grandpa had been making sure that I never went in there since he got the house, but, my dumb 14 year old brain said "hey, why don't you check the basement EVEN THOUGH grandpa told you not to and you haven't even checked the porch yet!" and unfortunately, I went through with my brain's dumb idea. I opened the basement door and walked down the steps and felt a very warm, damp, wind. As I traversed the rest of the basement I saw a small bookshelf with a single, dusty, book. The name of the book was "Legends of Eldoria." I felt sort of.. Drawn to it. I flipped through random pages and saw 4 very recurring names, Pyro, Zephyr, Aquoia, and Terra. This intrigued me, so I decided to read. A quick summary of what I read was basically,

4 elemental immortal legends, my favorite, Pyro-fire, Zephyr-wind, Aquoia-water, and Terra-earth. Well.. There was one more.. Nyx-Darkness. Basically, these five gods loved to help people, so much so that every few decades or so, they'd have a contest to see who could help the most people, and Nyx always got last, and he took it as kind of a big deal. This contest was sort of the highlight of the rest of their century, so his brothers and sisters would make jokes about him. Eventually, Nyx got tired of it and decided to challenge all of his brothers and sisters to a duel. He beat Zephyr and Terra but Pyro and Aquoia were still standing. They fought with all their might and won the battle against Nyx. I was so bored that I decided to read it 5 times (biggest mistake of my life.) I would've read it way more if I hadn't opened a portal to an ancient city. Another dumb 14 year old brain moment was when I decided to go through the portal. I found myself falling out of the sky, looking
at a desert paradise of buildings, blooming with culture,

but my brain was still stuck in that book apparently, because I was thinking about how Pyro and Aquoia defeated Nyx, and then I thought about fire. Fire. Fire. Fire. Flames summoned from my hands

With those flames I lifted myself above the ground. At this time, I've used my powers once. And unfortunately, I couldn't create enough firepower to keep myself above ground for too long. I fell on a house and my little embers (SOMEHOW????) burnt the house down (there were no people harmed for those crazy little neat freaks and people who care too much)

...

after falling, what, like, 6000 feet in the air? (for those nerds, I do not know how high in the air I was, due to the fact that I was trying not to die) After looking at my jail cell and remembering everything that happened. I looked at the guard and pleaded for help.

Chapter 2 I woke up in jail and remember feeling in disbelief, because, i just woke up man, The guard looked at me with hyena eyes and said (The guy said my name like I was some forbidden inconvenience) "Look, Leo, if you're trying to break the world record for falling out of the sky and landing in jail, you're doing a great job. Just sit tight, and maybe next time, consider a softer landing spot. I cursed at him (of course I'm not gonna say it, curses of any kind in this book are a big no no)and looked at my surroundings, I looked at my watch, whih somehow wasn't destroyed during the crash(more on that later)I saw that it was 6:00 P.M. and usually, in movies, by 9:00 the guard falls asleep, so I waited until 9:00 P.M. Fortunately, a guy that looked like a younger version of my grandfather picked me up and said "This one's with me." I gave him a weird and confused look, but didn't say anything, as those would have messed up my chances of getting out of jail by a WHOLE lot, so i decided to be careful about what i say. After we got out of the jail, I asked "Who the heck are you!?" the man responded surprisingly with, "That's no way to talk to your uncle." I had so many questions packed up inside one little body that I just decided not to talk. My uncle ( i know, crazy, right?) called a taxi. We got in and I told him "Okay, I'm just gonna shoot questions here and there and try to answer as much as you can." my uncle replies "Alright. Shoot." "How are you related to me?" "I'm your mom's brother." "Where are we?" "Ancient city of Eldoria." "What do my powers mean?" "Woah, woah, you've got powers?" my uncle asked (I guess nobody really does have the answers) "did i stutter?" I answered. "Your powers.. I don't know. Just as he said that, we pulled in at his house. "Hey, uncle, this is an entire mansion, are you sure this is YOUR house?"
"Yeah, why?" My uncle said " what do you do for a living?" I asked. His expression darkened a lot. I never got that answer for a while.

Chapter 3
I Get Superhero Training from My
Uncle
My uncle woke me up at like, five in the morning and he told me to pick out some armor And go to the training grounds, he then told me that I should start trying to scorch a dummy in one go, as that would mean you can use up more power. Honestly, even I didn't understand my powers at this point. My uncle left on errand duty and I'm good for a couple more hours until I see a big green meteor shooting at me.
I used my fire to propel me up to the meteor. The closer I got to it, the more humanoid it looked, and eventually, I saw a boy frantically moving in this burst of green and blue wind he was in, and I went up to him. "Uhh, hi, this is kind of a no meteor zone, so.. Can you stop this?" I said. Still moving frantically he yelled "IF I WANTED TO DO THAT I DEFINITELY WOULD'VE!" "Try to stop thinking about whatever you're thinking about!" This sequence went on for maybe 30 seconds until he stopped falling like a green meteor. I grabbed him and we went back on land and I asked him where he came from. "I'm from Yokohama in Japan. What about you?" "Miami, Florida, so let's get to the big questions, who are you, how are you here and why are you here?'' I answered "Well, I'm Akoji Rin, I read some random book five times, and I am here to find a cure for a plague." He seemed pretty legit, but I had to ask him one more question: "What's your story?" His expression darkened a whole bunch. "I lived in a village on the outskirts of Yokohama peacefully until a great plague went loose in our village. My mother and father were hit with the plague first, and my parents are on the brink of death. My mother told me to read the book 5 times and I would be safe from the plague. I'm hoping to find a cure for everyone, especially my parents.". Trying to gather his story, I said "That's pretty sad.".

20 minutes later my uncle came back home and Akoji told him his story just like he told me. "Hmm, the story holds up for now. You can stay here for the time being. As for you, Leo, since you held up enough to take flight, you can explore the rest of the day. I'll give you about 20 dollars in case you need anything." my uncle said

Chapter 4
I Explore The Ancient City
At this point I got super excited and went outside. As I walked I saw a whole lot of different pieces of clothing, sometimes I see people with magical robes, branded with colors such as orange, yellow, black and green and hieroglyphs that depict things that I couldn't understand. There was a giant tower that had the same hieroglyphics as the man with the robe. I decided to go there. As I was walking to the tower, a pale, bony, boy ran into me holding 3 breadsticks while 5 people in chef's outfits were chasing him, screaming in a language I couldn't understand. The chef called to me and pointed to the boy. Feeling bad for the boy, I decided to walk past him and leave him alone. Then, my watch glowed blood red. I just figured it was a defect and left it alone. I walked about a mile from the bakery when I got to the tower. It was very quiet and many people dressed in the same clothing as the man I saw out the door, however not that many people were there. I asked the clerk what this place was and he just shrugged, not knowing what I was saying. So I explored, of course! Upon further inspection, it looked like a library, so I took the only book in English and read. The title was "Eldorian Hieroglyphics and Words for Foreigners" and I figured that if I was gonna be here, I might as well learn the writing and language. I went to the clerk, looked up a few words,(that took a while) and checked the book out. On the walk home, I bought a hoverboard from the thrift store for 20 bucks(what a deal!). And this wasn't just any random hoverboard with wheels, oh no, it was a real hoverboard, like, Ben 10 style. But the hoverboard was still busted up and all, but I could fix her up quick.

When I got to my uncle's house, he was talking to Akoji about the cure. I showed him the book and the hoverboard I rode back to the house and went to dinner. Akoji looked at me with a grateful but unsure expression. To reassure him I said "I hope he didn't put you through too much" Akoji responded with "No, I'm very grateful to him, he's given me a place to stay and whatnot, but I just don't feel.. Well, at home." my uncle then interrupted with "DINNERTIME! GET SOME FOOD OR SLEEP HUNGRY!"

When we finished eating, my uncle looked.. Nervous? I didn't know what it was until after dinner and said "It's time to tell you the truth.''
