2nd February, 2002, Saturday

With her aching head and almost blurry vision, Eunseo stepped out of the elevator.
The tears of her eyes had stained the whole of her face and she had calmed herself down a bit with the held of her inhaler..

She wondered where Seokjin was and how came he did not try calling her for once. She unlocked the door, got in expecting her only friend to pull her into his embrace and comfort her.

After staying reserved for almost all of her life, she finally found someone she could share her feelings with. That is why she let out everything that used to happen with her to him for some days.

Realizing he might be sleeping that early in the morning, she went into her room, wanting to freshen up and change into something that could keep her warm.

Getting out of her room, Eunseo found Seokjin on a couch at a distance with his phone against his ear and laptop in front. "Seokjin.. I need to tell you something."

Presuming, she might had come back pretty late at night, Seokjin was not surprised for any reason. But he stopped her, showing his palm to her.

"Listen to me.." she felt tears in her eyes which successfully got unnoticed by Seokjin.

He pulled the phone away, exhaling a deep sigh full of annoyance and turned his gaze at her. "Don't you see I'm talkin-" but soon stopped on his words as his eyes fell on the purplish-red marks on her neck.

"I need you to listen to me." She firmly spoke controlling her tears and took steps toward him.

A mixed wave of emotion, jealousy, possessiveness, betrayal and anger washed over him. His already furious mind was getting even more messed up by imagining the possible causes of what he saw.
'Is that why she was late?' He felt his jaw tighten as he listened to the words of the other person on his call at the same time. "I'm busy now, let's talk later."

"You said the same thing a day ago." she held his hand and started dragging him toward her room.

"What the hell!" he jerked her hand off him and glared.

"Why are you acting so strange!"

"Listen, I'm not your personal assistant whom you can vent to whenever you want and then throw away. I have my own life and my own problems to take care of, so go and speak to the walls!"

"Seokjin.." she whispered in disbelief.

"Where were you last night?" he suddenly asked in a cold tone.

"That's what I was-"

"What are these marks?" his eyes shifted from her neck to her eyes then neck again.

"What marks?" She frowned asking which somehow seemed very fake to him.

"So you have some damn marks on your neck and you don't even know about it?" His voice filled with disbelief as he kept taking steps toward her until she reached the couch behind and almost fell behind.
Grasping her wrist tightly, he made her stand straight.

"Seokjin you should listen to me first. I have something important to tell you."

His phone again rang. He picked it up, holding her hand at the same time. "goddammit.." he whispered. "Who the heck is that now!... Wait, I'll check." saying, he rushed back to his laptop again.
