In the morning

In the morning, the soft glow of sunlight streamed through the slightly parted curtains, casting golden rays across the room. The warm light settled on Y/N's face, coaxing her out of her deep slumber. Slowly, her eyes fluttered open, squinting against the brightness. As she tried to move, she became acutely not  aware of a firm yet tight grip around her waist. Turning her head slightly, her breath hitched when she saw none other than Taehyung, his peaceful face mere inches from hers. His arm was draped protectively over her, and his slow, steady breathing suggested he was still fast asleep.

Y/N blinked, her mind racing to piece together the events of the previous night. Carefully, she slipped out from under his arm, her movements cautious so as not to disturb him. Sitting up, she glanced around the room. It was a mess— everything shattered here and there the broken vase , pillows scattered, blankets tossed aside, and furniture slightly out of place. The sight triggered a flood of memories, and she vividly recalled the chaos of last night. She remembered everything—the arguments, the tears, and eventually falling asleep on the cold, hard floor.

Her brows furrowed in confusion. How had she ended up in bed? And, more importantly, how had she ended up in bed with Taehyung? Shaking her head to clear the foggy thoughts, she decided not to dwell on it just yet. There were more pressing matters at hand. Quietly, she slid off the bed, her bare feet touching the cool floor as she made her way to the bathroom.

Splashing cold water onto her face, Y/N tried to calm her thoughts. The events of the previous night still swirled in her mind, but for now, she focused on freshening up and composing herself. As she closed the bathroom door, a soft sigh escaped her lips. Today was going to be another complicated day.

After freshening up, Y/N stepped out of the bathroom, glancing around the messy room. The sight of scattered belongings and disorganized furniture made her sigh. Determined to bring some order to the chaos, she rolled up her sleeves and got to work. She picked up the pillows and blankets, folded them neatly, and set them aside. The broken vase from last night was carefully gathered and disposed of, and she wiped down the surfaces, making the room look as tidy as it could after the previous night’s turmoil.

Once everything was in place, Y/N took a deep breath, her eyes landing on Taehyung, who was still fast asleep on the bed. A faint crease appeared on his forehead, but his features remained serene. Without disturbing him, she quietly left the room and made her way downstairs to prepare breakfast.

The kitchen was her sanctuary for a while as she worked efficiently, mixing batter, cracking eggs, and slicing fruit. She plated the dishes carefully, ensuring everything looked perfect before heading back upstairs to wake him.

Standing at the edge of the bed, Y/N hesitated, clutching her hands nervously. She had no idea how Taehyung would react to her waking him up, but breakfast was ready, and it felt like the polite thing to do. Taking a deep breath, she softly called his name, "Mr. Kim..." Her voice was quiet but clear, yet there was no response.

Taehyung didn’t stir. He remained completely still, his chest rising and falling rhythmically.

Y/N bit her lip, unsure of what to do. Summoning a little more courage, she called his name again, this time a bit louder. "Mr. Kim?"

Still, there was no reaction. Taehyung didn’t even flinch. For a moment, Y/N wondered if he was deliberately ignoring her or simply a heavy sleeper. She stood there awkwardly, unsure of whether to try again or leave him be.

She tried again, her voice firmer this time. "Mr. Kim, it's getting late. Wake up!"

Taehyung groaned in frustration, burying his face deeper into the pillow. "Five more minutes," he mumbled, his voice muffled and tinged with annoyance.
