"The deepest pain I ever felt was denying my own feelings to make everyone else comfortable."
A few days had passed since the argument between Yura and Jeonghan, but the tension between them lingered like a storm cloud.
They went about their routines, barely speaking to each other, the silence heavy and oppressive. Yura had been keeping a secret, one she desperately wanted to share with Jeonghan, hoping it might bring them closer again.
She had discovered she was pregnant, and although the news filled her with joy, the timing felt wrong given the rift between them.
Determined to find some resolution, Yura decided she needed to confront Jihye first. She wanted to make it clear that Jihye needed to respect the boundaries of her marriage.
Enlisting the support of Chloe, she arranged a meeting at Jihye's office.
As they arrived at the office, Yura's heart pounded in her chest.
Chloe gave her a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder. "You got this, Yura. Just be honest and firm."
Yura nodded, taking a deep breath before walking into the building. Jihye was sitting at her desk, looking surprised to see them.
"Yura, Chloe, what brings you here?" Jihye asked, her tone neutral.
Yura stepped forward, her voice steady. "Jihye, we need to talk."
Jihye raised an eyebrow, clearly sensing the seriousness of Yura's demeanour. "Alright. What is it?"
Yura glanced at Chloe for support before continuing. "I need you to understand that your actions are causing problems in my marriage. I know you and Jeonghan are friends, but there needs to be some distance. You need to respect our relationship."
Jihye's expression shifted to a mix of defensiveness. "Yura, I never meant to cause any issues. Jeonghan and I have been friends for a long time."
"That's not the point," Yura replied, her voice firm. "The point is that your behaviour is making things difficult for us. We need space to work on our relationship without any interference."
