I woke up hearing Marcus yelling in the other room, and it startled me to jump out of my bed and grab my robe before entering the living room as he slammed his phone down on the table annoyed.

"Marcus? It's three in the morning... Who are you yelling at? I asked, worried something was wrong back at home.

He sighed, turning to look at me. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you.. My sister has been speaking with a Vampire... Who is apparently half human and has intel about a attack that's being planned against my people... She got mad at me and ran off outside. James told me not to worry because apparently she was going shopping in town anyway." He grumbled, rubbing his head.

I sighed, moving to rub his shoulder. "She needs space. Let her cool down before she speaks to you again." I told him.

He nodded his head standing up to hug me.

"She is just so hard-headed sometimes." He whispered in my neck.

"Like you." I commented, smiling as he made a groan leave his lips. "Come back to bed... Its early and I am still tired."

He nodded, picking me up in his arms and moving us back to the bedroom where he laid me down before rolling on his side of the bed where he snuggled into the pillow sighing out again. I could tell he was worrying about her and about the so-called threat coming to his home. I moved close, pulling him in my arms as I rested his head on my breast, so he could listen to my heartbeat.

"Everything will be okay, Sleep." I whispered before humming a lullaby to him, which seemed childish, but it always helped me calm down when I was stressed or couldn't sleep as a kid.

Soon he was snoring away and I myself fell asleep holding him.

The next morning, he wasn't against me, asleep. In fact, he wasn't even in bed when I woke up stretching my arms out. Sighing, I sat up looking around the room and the door was half open, which meant he was somewhere inside the house or out on the beach area relaxing.
