POV: Leonie/Lux

Yesterday I had turned 18. Today meant it had been ten years since my and my siblings had been sold off to the circus. Abigail was two years older than me and worked as a tightrope Walker. She had sun-kissed skin, her deep golden locks being up in a bun.
Odette went by Oddy and she was like a star. Everyone had their eyes on her especially as she did her trapeze routine. Even if she was so young, she clearly had the most talent out of the three of us.
I couldn't say the same thing for me. I had gotten the shitty end of the stick. I got forced to be one of the clowns. Expect I was a "sad clown". The irony was amusing. At least to Oddy. I wore a poncho that covered me all the way to my hips. They were a pale dull colored blue. I had a skirt underneath the same blue with cream colored strips. My cream colored boots up to my knees.
I was currently standing in the middle. My face frowning and bored as other clowns danced around me. Their outfits all different bright colors. All expect blue. The ringmaster made sure that I would look as pitiful as possible.
I let out a deep sigh as the clown were pushing and shoving themselves and me into the small clown car. There was about 15 of us. The uncomfortbility was unimaginable. As the car slid out of the main tent and to the backstage everyone quickly collapsed out of the car. I fell to the ground and laid there as I waited for everyone else to leave.
"LEOOOOOOONIE!!!" Oddy was shooting my name. Just as I was starting to turn around she slammed right into me with her arms stretching wide to hug me. She was much shorter than me only being 4'12. She was hoping for a growth spurt to hit her.
Oddy's straight jet black hard swooshed around the two of us. It was rather long compared to mine.
"You did wonderful!" She cheered while jumping up and down. I carefully took her hands off me and took a step back nodding in acknowledgment of her kindness.
This wasn't anything new and in fact this happened every time after the circus routine but I still haven't quite adjusted yet.
"Where's Abigail." My voice was horse and quiet. Oddy tilted her head and shrugged. Of course she did. I should've known better than to ask Oddy where our sister was.
Oddy was a very smart girl but she had trouble remembering just about anything. That is besides her circus routine. She was great at remembering that. But I'm pretty sure that it was thanks to her constantly going over her routine. I wonder what it would be like to have to train and be in the spotlight.
"I'll go find her myself." I stalked off as I fixed my slightly brighter blue flat hat. Oddy looked at me saddened but I was in dire need to find Abigail.
Snowflakes just started to fall down. Softly one by one the dirt became dusted with snow. My feet crunched under the mix of dirt and dead leaves. It was late November now. The circus was stopped nearby a city called Everlececnt.
Everlecent didn't snow nearly as much as my old childhood home. I felt like I could still smell the pine trees and sap. Suddenly the warm scents twisted and the scent of blood from that sick night returned. I hurriedly shoved down the memories of the night away. If I didn't think about it I wouldn't think about vampires or any other magical creatures. Creatures with magic were far and sparse between. I hadn't seen one since then.
"Stop it." I hissed to myself under my breathe. I can't think about any of that. I refused to let myself go back to that torn down house. Or it's old planks that would rattle when I or anyone would walk on them. I closed if my eyes tightly.
