It was just after sunset. April was on her laptop, typing away at a college project, completely engulfed in her essay. Specifically in the history of abandoned water rides and the damages leaving these rides, untouched and rotting, in the water would do. It was an odd topic to discuss but she always found the imagery of these sunken and abandoned items sad, yet intriguing.

As she went to delete a part that didn't fit too well with the paragraph, regarding corrosion and other fluids entering the water system, April's sixth sense kicked in. She turns her head towards the window to see the passing of a familiar pair of purple wings - illuminated by the street lamps below. Only a few apartments down. April turns her full attention to her friend upon the rooftops, and leaves her aunt's apartment - leaving a note and locking the window exit before doing so.

Due to her years of training, she was able to catch up behind Laura, who seemed to be unaware of April's presence as she flies. A gust of wind holds the dragon-girl back, unfortunately causing a few papers to flutter out of her grasp.

"Ah! No-!" She yells out.

April was quick to act, using her telepathic abilities to catch the papers and bring it down to her level. "Gotcha!" She says with a smile.

Laura looks to April, frowning in worry, before landing. "Thanks..." She mutters, looking as if she was caught.

"Don't mention it-- what is this for, exactly?" April asks as she glances at the sheet.

"It's... Well. I am not too sure..." Laura admits. She pauses. "Did Donnie ask you for a blood test?"

April blinks but shakes her head. "No. Not as of late. Why?"

"Raph told me I... I attacked you guys, after we all went to the restaurant. And Donnie claims the blood sample was to check for other DNA, also claiming he also took your blood as well." The girl explains.

April nods with a hum. It wouldn't be in regards to him, would it? She speculates silently, given the evidence in the abandoned Kraang lab, but doesn't say anything. "I see. You don't remember anything from the night before?"

Laura shakes her head. "What Raph told me feels to be only a sliver of the truth. And, to be frank, I don't like it when Don doesn't tell me what he is using my blood for. You know?"

April nods sympathetically. "I feel you. Been a few occasions he's done that. Retro-mutagen, mainly. But... I wish I can tell you what this says cuz I honestly don't have a clue."

"Hence why I am heading to the Stockmans. Hopefully, they could help." Laura admits before deciding to put the papers in her ribbon belt.

April hums. "You need any back up?"

"I wouldn't mind. But aren't you working on something? A project?" The dark haired woman said.

"Its not like I can't come back to it later. Plus, it's not due till midway next month." April explains. "Come on."

To say the Stockmans were expecting visitors in the evening would be a lie. Baxter was surprised to see the two young mutants at his and Claudia's door. "Miss O'Neil, Miss Laura - what a surprise."

"Baxter." April nods.

Laura smiles with a wave.

"We weren't expecting visitors." Baxter also pointed out.

"Ah- right. Uh..." Laura is quick to grab the papers she's collected before handing them to the scientific inventor. "You have been known, within both our parties, to be an expert in mutagenesis. Correct?"
