He looked actually sympathetic for a second before his face turned back to stern. Great.
"I'm not letting you around a ripper when they're in a hunting mood, even around me."
"You do realise if he attacks me, I can just siphon, right? Or use my magic nock him out. I can handle an 150 year old vampire."
Nik's expression didn't even falter. In fact, it turned even more stern. Great, dad mode activated.
"After what happened at the ritual. I'd sooner be staked than let you anywhere near magic."
