"Red, no! You're messing it all up!" Chloe smacked her hand, making Red look at her with a pout.

"It looks better this way, Bluey!"

"Red, come on. It does not. The red icing you made looks like poop." Chloe rolled her eyes at the girl, but Red kept on pouting at her. Groaning, Chloe made the other cupcake with red icing.

As Red was still adjusting to her new life, even if the trauma was still very much there, (she didn't have the 'heart' to tell Bridget about the punishment she did to her own child before), Red is slowly becoming addicted to sweets.

And a lot of it.

Unfortunately, they were doing it in the hospital as Red injured herself while doing swords with Chad.

Both were competitive, may I add. One was currently in a hospital, one was still being scolded by their parents for being reckless and battling with a 17 year old.

They got a little overboard because Red broke her left foot when Chad catched up to her when they were running.

'Meh,' Red thought. At least Chloe was taking care of her now. She'll gladly break her other foot if it means she gets to spend more time with her.

Of course, her mom wouldn't be too pleased if that ever happens again. The poor woman almost had a heart attack when Ella was the one who announced Red's injury.

"Yay." Red said while humming, making Chloe smile.

"But all jokes aside, be careful when fighting with Chad next time." She used her finger to wipe the excess icing on the cupcake.

"You should tell that to your brother. I mean, do you remember the first thing he said when I yelled in pain after feeling my bone crack?"

" 'Oh no! Audrey is gonna hex me for this!' " They both imitate his voice, making dramatic face gestures, with Chloe placing a hand on her head.

"The fact that he's more worried about his girlfriend than our parents is quite concerning." Chloe sighed, with Red shaking her head with a smile.

"I do hope that both of you learned your lesson that you should never play swords without me at sight. You're literally playing with my idiot, slash giant brother."

"Was worth it when your dad scolded him." Chloe slapped her shoulder playfully with a glare.

"I mean it, Red. Be careful!" Chloe's glare got deadlier.

"Oh~ someone's getting protective?" Chloe wanted to punch the injured girl right here and there, but she only rolled her eyes.

"Don't push it." Red gave heart eyes to her.

"You make me go Red, bluey." Chloe's eyes narrowed.

"Will you explain what that meant?"

"You'll figure it out soon."

Another day passed, Red's still in the hospital. Bridget was persistent that she stayed in for a few days, and she didn't want to be scolded again so she agreed. And this time, her mother was the one who visited her. It was still school hours, so Chloe was still occupied in school.

"Red, I told you to be careful. The last time you broke your bones was probably 8 years ago, you broke your hand trying to fight with one of the soldiers. I wanted his head in a guillotine for being irresponsible." Red gulped.

Besides the obvious trauma, she has to say 'yeah', 'oh, right', 'definitely' to memories that didn't happen to her.

"Sorry, mom. Won't happen again." Her mother closed her eyes.
