All Red could ever dream of was loving Chloe in every single timeline.
And since the world favors her so much, they took her away from her in this one.
She knew there were risks when it comes to loving someone. She tried to love her mother, she really did. But it feels like she doesn’t have a mom at all. She barely knows this ‘Bridget’ that everyone adores.
She doesn't even know what their past was like, but as her mom talks to her about the good old days, she starts piecing it together one-by-one.
Like how she cried for hours when she scraped her knee when she was younger, or how she painted a part of the castle with black paint when she was 5, eating an entire cake by herself when she turned 8.
It felt surreal, because if she cried about these normal things back when her mom was still a tyrant, it would be a different story to unfold.
That if she painted the castle with just a tiny bit of paint, she would get punished.
Or, If she even had the slightest bit of sweets, she would also punish her for it. ‘Treats are for the weak’, she says.
But she doesn't have much choice. It's her mom, and regardless of their past history that apparently didn't happen, Bridget is nice now. It should count for something, right?
Guess what? She’s in the hospital again. What fun that is.
She played with her dyed hair, being bored. But she will be able to go back later to their dorm.
Speaking of her dyed hair, she dyed it a few days ago. She couldn't stand the idea of having a monstrosity of a color be visible on her hair.
She went into a riot earlier in Auradon Prep, punching a boy who ‘accidentally’ tripped her thrice. Now normally, she would just be pissed and let it go.
But when Jasmine and Aladdin's son brought Chloe up, she knew she wouldn't let that go.
“Hey, you tripped me twice!”
“I don't know, Hearts. Isn't your little friend, like, good at this or what? She should have taught you some tricks while she was still here.”
“I guess that's why she never became captain. She’s just as weak as you are. You're the perfect combination for each other.” He pouted, then a smirk formed as he pulled down his headgear.
“Enough, that's twice now.” The coach raised his voice at him, shaking his head.
Red’s grip on the sabre was hard.
“En Garde!” I pulled down my mask slowly, maintaining my posture.
With him doing the first swing, the only thing I saw was Red. And that was enough to make me want to put his head in a guillotine.
As the match was going smoothly, she suddenly dropped to her knees.
“That’s the third time, Ali! Out!” Oh, no. He’s not going anywhere.
Dropping the sabre along with taking her mask off, she launched at him with an upper-cut on his jaw.
He should be feeling lucky Red didn’t use her sabre for this round.
“Ouch! You-” Without letting him finish, she kicked him right in his genital area, causing a loud groan to escape his lips.
“Boo-hoo. Stop whining and man up!”
“Hearts, stop this instance!” No matter how many people screamed at her, her focus was on this privileged prick.
When she was about to let him go, he used the handle of the sabre to hit her, and felt a stinging pain on her cheek.
