Red is currently rotting in her bed.

She knows that at some point she has to let her go.

But she didn't know how, or when, to do so.

And she’s nowhere near ready for that day.

Red tossed around in her bed, only finding uncomfortable positions. No matter how much time had passed, she was still wide awake, facing the consequences alone. She was all that she could think about.

She didn't have to go through it alone, no. She chose this path. This was her decision.

Her worst mistake, she says so herself.

She thought that if she went back to wonderland, it would be less painful. Heck, even her own kingdom is haunting her, with Chloe skipping around with a smile on her face.

With anger still in her, she opened her eyes, looking at the window. Her eyes lowered when she saw… blue?

It wasn't the red mark from the hospital. It was a faint blue color this time.

With confusion, she got up from her bed, getting wipes from the drawer. She started scrubbing the wall harshly, for it needed to disappear.

“Stupid mark, why won't you go away?” The blue mark was still visible, as it was impossible to rub off.

After another minute of scrubbing, she gave up, placing a red sticker on it that she found in her drawer as well.

“Better.” She mumbled, flopping back to bed, face first.

On days like these, a certain girl would be her cuddle buddy until they both drifted into deep slumber. And when she wasn't around, she would sleep with Chloe’s favorite hoodie. But she left that in Auradon as well.

Without not too many choices, she grabbed her phone, hoping to listen to music instead. Since the world favored her so much, It didn't open because it was already dead. What a coincidence! She's totally not pissed off now, and she definitely doesn’t want to throw it outside the window.

She grumbled, looking at the ceiling instead. She can never find peace when even her mind, heart, and soul are battling with destruction.

With no choice left, she sneaked out of her room, determined to go to the top of the castle. She did this too many times already, it wasn't a surprise when it only took her at least 2 minutes to view the wonderland from above.

This was her favorite place to go whenever her mother would do stuff to her.

They may have time traveled to save the present, but it doesn't mean that everything that she experienced was also fixed. The trauma is still there.

She was still very much broken. Maybe she is a work in progress, perhaps?

Bridget is trying to figure out why her daughter would suddenly flinch whenever she would raise her hand to pat her head.

Maybe because raising her hand had a different story before they time traveled.

And no one wants to help a broken girl when she doesn't want to fix herself as well.

“Hey, hearts.” What perfect timing this is!

Turning to her left, there she was. She looks ethereal, for the color of the midnight sky glowed perfectly on her.

Red snapped at her thoughts, looking at her with nothing but void behind her eyes.

“What part of ‘I just want to move on from you’ and ‘I don't want you here’ that you didn't understand? You're a smart girl, Chloe, I'm sure that wasn’t too hard to comprehend and to engrave that in your head.”
