Jeonghan was frozen, his whole body halting at the question he feared. He himself had asked this since him and Seungcheol started this relationship, if it came down to it, would Seungechol be able to pick him over his family?
And now the question was being put out into the open, those simple words causing the three men to freeze at once. Jeonghan decided he should accept his fate because even though he knows Seungcheol has grown to care for him, there's no way he could beat the love of his father.

"Seungechol, choose Jeonghan." Mr Choi coughed heavy, blood slowly dripping down his lips as he looked at his son. "It's my fault this even happened , so save him." Seungechol only watched his father silently, the old man grunting in pain. His father sighed, his head slowly handing lower on his shoulders,

"I know you care for him son, and I vowed to make sure you always find the love your mother and I shared."

Chan laughed at that, his voice mocking as he spoke. "Then how did I end up in this world? If you were such a devoted husband."

Jeonghan watched Mr Chois reaction, the man simply grimacing while he looked at his son. "Sleeping with your mother was a mistake, as were you. I should never have had you, hell I should have killed you when I had the chance. You were always a brat after-"

Chan shot Mr Choi in the leg, the old man yelling out in pain while he fell onto his side. Seungechol stepped forward with a growl, his hands fisting against his side. Jeonghan felt his body flinch from the tension, Mr Chois pained grunts sending chills up and down his spine.

Mr Choi collected himself with a groan, his face holding a tight smile as he face Chan once more. "Go on, kill me. I've known your desire too, it was me you came after that night was it not?" Chan scoffed.

"Oh please father, I'm not going to make your death that easy. Now enough of whatever tough act your putting on, You and your sons self righteousness is giving me a headache ." Chan turned to face Seungechol once more, his eyes slowly peering down to face Jeonghan.

He caught the blondes eye and smirked, "Well look who's awake! Tell me Jeonghan I have to know, who do you think should die between you and my dad here." Jeonghan shook his head, tears welling up in his eyes. "Well I don't have all day, hmm?"

Jeonghan opened his mouth but no sound came, only a light whimper making its way past his lips. He felt the pain of his torture, the burns making it hard for him to even utter a word.

"Don't answer him." Seungechol voice was deep when he spoke to Jeonghan, his usual warmth he showed Jeonghan now gone. Jeonghan raised his head to glance to Seungechol, the older man faced away from him and towards Chan. Jeonghan lowered his head once more, his heart racing with each minute that passed. He knew he had to make a decision and he also knew what it was,

"Kill me." Seungechol responded instantly, his body moving to block any possible attacks thrown Jeonghan's way. The blonde wanted to shove him away and tell him that he's not worth it, but he could only mutter a soft gasp. He tried once more, his words finally making their way into the silent room.

"Stop... it Cheol, I'm not worth it"

Seungechol turned to face Jeonghan, falling to his knees as he grabbed Jeonghan's face, "Never say that again!" He held Jeonghan's face tight, the blonde couldn't help but cry at his intensity. He never once doubted Seungcheol's love for him, which is why he couldn't have him kill Mr Choi.
