"Weiying, how are you?" Wangji asked with all his emotions.

Weiying was shocked to hear this because he never expected Wangji to ask him that

Weiying takes a deep breath and says, "Mr. Lan, please mind your own business."

"Weiying, I know that after what I did, you don't want to talk to me, but please listen to me," Wangji requests.

"Mr. Lan, I have forgotten everything. You mean nothing to me now, so there's no need for you to feel tense or guilty," Weiying says rudely.

"Weiying!" Wangji shouts.

"Yes, you are my boss, but you have no right to interfere in my personal matters. Besides, I am married," Weiying retorts.

Hearing this, Wangji feels very hurt, but controlling himself, he says, "Weiying, I know you have moved on, but there is no one in your life now. Can't you give me a chance?"

"Mr. Wangji, who said there is no one in my life? Wen Qing is always in my life and will always be," Weiying says and leaves, because he couldn't listen to Wangji's words any longer.

After that day, Weiying had recovered and was talking well with Wangji. However, Wangji was thinking a lot, which led him to start spending more time with Wen Chao instead of Weiying. This hurt Weiying, and he tried to talk to Wangji about it, but Wangji would always brush him off.

As time passed, Wangji became very unruly. He neither listened to Weiying nor did he try to understand anyone else. Weiying made many efforts to explain things to Wangji, but Wangji ignored him. Eventually, Wangji even started drinking.

One day, Weiying felt enough was enough, so he went to Wangji and Wen Chao and said to Wangji, "Today, you will come with me." Before Wangji could reply, Wen Chao interjected, "Why would he go with you? Did you think he's your friend? He only pities you."

Weiying and Wangji were both extremely angry upon hearing Wen Chao's words, but Wangji didn't say anything.

"Listen, Wen Chao, I'm not talking to you, so mind your own business," Weiying angrily said.

Upon hearing Weiying's words, Wen Chao became very angry. He got up from his place and grabbed Weiying by the collar. "How dare you say all this to me? You have no idea who I am!"

"I know you're a human being," Weiying said calmly.

"You seem to be getting too ahead of yourself," Wen Chao said and slapped Weiying across the face so suddenly that nobody had expected it.

Wangji was shocked too and couldn't react in time. Weiying left from there immediately.

Wangji wanted to go after Weiying, but hesitated for a moment.
