As soon as Weiying and Wangji's romance began, there was a knock on Wangji's office door. Weiying panicked and pushed Wangji, nervously saying, "Look what you’ve done! I told you someone would come; now see what will happen."
Wangji, annoyed, replied, "Who provoked me?"
Weiying, flustered, said, "Be quiet and go open the door."
By the time Wangji opened the door, Weiying had composed himself. The person who arrived, not looking up, said, "Sir, the meeting is about to start. The board members are calling for you."
Wangji noted it and said, "I’ll be there shortly." Weiying's expression soured as he felt a pang of jealously
Wangji looks at Weiying and understands that Weiying is angry. Wangji, trying to appease him, says, "Weiying, babe, I'll come back as soon as the meeting is over. And as for the girl, I won’t even look at her."
Weiying didn’t want to agree, but he knew the meeting was very important, so he agreed. Besides, he knew Wangji wouldn’t look at anyone else.
Wangji feels happy, thanks Weiying, and then leaves for the meetings
In the meeting room, everyone was seated, waiting for the girl to arrive. Then, the girl entered the room, and Wangji was surprised and angry to see that it was Linjiao. He wondered what Linjiao was doing there.
Linjiao also looked at Wangji and, with a smirk, took her seat. Wangji knew the meeting was important, so he said nothing.
After the meeting ended, Linjiao approached Wangji and said, "Wangji, how are you? I didn’t expect to see you here directly after the party. By the way, Wangji, you look good in a formal dress," Linjiao said with a smile.
Hearing this, Wangji became angry and said, "Miss Lin, I don’t think you should be concerned about my dressing sense. Besides, my future husband doesn’t like anyone around me, so please stay away, Mr. Lin." Wangji insulted Linjiao and began to leave.
Linjiao was very angry upon hearing this and thought, "Just a few more days, and then you’ll be mine. As for Weiying, I’ll deal with him in a way no one will even think of."
