In the silence, her breath is sharp,
A trembling bird in a world so dark.
He watches close with eyes of flame,
A predator, but she'll bear his name.

Her heart beats fast with every step,
Caught in his web, no place to rest.
Fear lingers, heavy as the night,
Yet something stirs beneath the fright.

For in his arms, though shadows creep,
A twisted love she cannot keep.
Her terror, his pleasure—bound and tight,
In his grip, she fades from light.

The house radiates with an air of joy and festivity, its walls draped in vibrant decorations that shimmer like jewels under the soft glow of twinkling lights.

Laughter and music echo through the halls, intertwining with the cheerful squeals of children darting about, their excitement palpable as they engage in games that fill the atmosphere with innocence and happiness.

Relatives, gathered from distant corners, mingle with warm smiles and heartfelt hugs, creating a tapestry of familial love that envelops the day. It is, ostensibly, my wedding day—a day most brides dream of.

Yet, beneath the surface of this celebration, an inexplicable weight clings to my heart, a sense of foreboding that shadows the joyous occasion.

Despite the festive surroundings, I grapple with feelings of resentment towards Krish, the man I am to marry. Shadows of doubt cloud my thoughts; I am torn between the expectations of those around me and the turmoil within.

My father’s disapproval of this union lingers in my mind, yet my mother has managed to sway him, her gentle persuasion masking my own uncertainty.

This conflict is not unfamiliar; Krish has never been one to show affection or regard for my opinions, leaving me questioning the very foundation of our relationship.
