Your expression turned serious, sensing the gravity in Laksh's tone. You turned to fully face him, your eyes fixed on his face. "What is it?" You asked gently, him curiosity piqued.

Laksh took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. He couldn't back out now. "I... I need to tell you something that I've been keeping inside for a long time," he said, his voice quivering with a mix of nerves and determination.

You waited patiently, giving Laksh time to gather his thoughts. You could sense his inner turmoil and knew that whatever he was about to say was important. Your heart pounded your chest as you prepared yourself for whatever the confession would entail.

Laksh looked into your eyes, his own eyes filled with earnestness and vulnerability. "Y/n," he started, his voice slightly louder now. "I... Im a batman."

" Seriously laksh ?" 😑
He looked at you with embarrassment on his face . "I'm sorry , but this is not something I wanted to say" he gathered all his courage and spoke again "Y/n, I... I... I.. love you "

Your eyes widened at his confession. You were taken aback by his declaration of love. You didn't expect him to lay his feelings so bare in front of you. You stared at him for a moment, speechless, your mind racing with a myriad of thoughts and emotions.

He waited anxiously for your response, his heart hammering in his chest. He watched as you processed his words, your expression unreadable. The silence between  felt like an eternity, and Laksh's anxiety grew with each passing moment.

You  finally spoke, your voice gentle but resolute. "Laksh," you began, "I'm flattered by your feelings, but I'm just not ready for a relationship right now."

Laksh's heart sank at your words, but he had expected this. He nodded, trying to hide his disappointment. "I see," he said quietly, his voice betraying a hint of sadness.

You could see the disappointment in his eyes, and a pang of guilt tugged at your heart. "It's not that I don't care for you," you said earnestly. "I just need time to figure things out for myself right now."

He nodded again, trying to accept your response. "I understand," he said, his voice tinged with resignation. "I don't want to pressure you or make you uncomfortable. I just needed to be honest with you about how I feel."

You smiled softly, grateful for his understanding. "I appreciate your honesty," you spoke sincerely. "And I hope you understand that I value our friendship and don't want to hurt or lose you because of this."

He forced a small smile, the pain in his heart slowly giving way to resignation. "Of course," he replied, his voice slightly hoarse. "I value our friendship too. I'll give you the space you need."

You reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder, a gesture of comfort and understanding. "Thank you," you said, your eyes filled with gratitude. "You're a good friend, and I'm glad we can talk openly like this."

He nodded, swallowing the lump in his throat. Being friends was better than nothing, but he still longed for more. "Yeah, me too," he replied, trying to sound casual.

*Sure, hereies the continuation...*

Laksh put on a brave face and forced a smile.
You appreciated his strength and acceptance. "Take all the time you need," you said, your voice sympathetic. "And if you ever need to talk or anything, you know I'm here for you, as a friend."

Laksh nodded, his eyes dropping to the ground as he struggled to maintain his composure. "Thanks," he muttered, his voice hoarse. "I'll keep that in mind."

You both  finally wrapped up your conversation. Laksh felt a pang of disappointment and a slight hint of awkwardness. He knew he had just confessed his feelings and been rejected, but he tried to keep his composure.

He walked with you back to your home in silence, still trying to process his emotions. The entire ride, he was lost in his thoughts, replaying the conversation in his mind. When you guys finally reached your house, he turned to you with a forced smile.

"Here we are," he said, his voice strained. "Safe back home."
"I hope you're okay," you spoke, your voice soft. "I know today was probably a lot to process."

Laksh tried to brush it off, putting on a casual facade. "Yeah, I'm fine," he replied, even though he didn't feel fine at all. "It's just... I just need some time to let it all sink in, you know?"
