You sat in the balcony, your eyes fixed on the photograph of your beloved father. His face, though frozen in time, felt so alive to you in that moment. A single tear rolled down your cheek as you clutched the frame close to your chest, reliving memories of his laughter, his love, and his sacrifice.
"I Miss you so much dadda " you spoke your voice trembling.

Flashback (few years ago) :

Growing up, you were blessed with the friendship of Raj and Siya. You shared everything; your secrets, your dreams, and your laughter. As you spent more time with Raj, you slowly began to realize that you felt more for him than just friendship. He was kind, caring, and understanding, and he made you feel safe and loved. You knew your were in love with him, and shared your feelings with Siya, who supported you and kept your secret.

One day you confessed your feelings to Raj, and to your surprise, he reciprocrated them. He said he loved you too, but he wanted to focus on his studies and wait until you both were more matured before starting a serious relationship. He promised to be with you when you were older and more mature, and even talked about someday marrying you. You were over the moon, filled with hope and joy, and You waited for the day when you both would be together officially as a couple.

For the first year, everything was as perfect as it could be. You both whispered sweet nothings, planned future, and made promises to each other. But after a year, You noticed a change in Raj's behaviour. He started becoming distant, more focused on his studies and less interested in you. You tried to brush it off, telling yourself that he was just going through a busy phase with his studies and exams, but deep down, You knew something was off."

As the days went by, Raj became more and more distant. He stopped giving you as much attention, and your secret meetings became fewer and farther between. You tried to talk to him about it, but he always assured you that everything was fine and that it was just a phase. You wanted to believe him, but your intuition was telling you something else.

One day, while you were walking in the school hallway, you saw Raj with Siya. They were standing close together, laughing and whispering. You watched them for a minute, your heart sinking in chest. " Relax y/n you are overreacting" you said to yourself.
It was like worst nightmare coming true. You wanted to confront them right there and then, but something held you back. You tried to tell yourself it was just a friendly conversation, but deep down, you knew something was going on between them. "I don't know why ,but this shit hurts " you spoke your voice trembling.

For a while, you tried to ignore the signs and pretend that everything was fine. You told yourself that you were just overreacting, that maybe Raj was just spending time with Siya as a friend, nothing more. But as you watched them interacting more and more, your heart felt like it was being crushed in chest. They were always together, laughing and whispering to each other, and the more you saw them, the more you realized that you were losing him to your best friend.

You couldn't take it anymore. The pain of seeing Raj and Siya together was too much to bear. losing your mind, like your entire world was crumbling down around you. So, one day, you decided to confront Raj about it. Gathering all of your courage , you mustered up the strength to ask him what was going on between him and Siya. When you finally found him alone, you blurted out the question that had been eating you alive.

When you finally confronted Raj, he looked at you straight in the eye and said, 'I never really loved you. I was just pretending. I'm in love with Siya.' he smirked. Your heart shattered into a thousand pieces as you heard his words. And Siya was there too, standing beside him with a smirk on her face, mocking you and adding fuel to the fire.They both seemed to take pleasure in hurting you, and it was as if they had been waiting for this moment all along.

As they stood there, demeaning and belittling , you felt a wave of anger and betrayal wash over you. You couldn't believe that the two people you had trusted and loved the most could be so cruel and heartless. all you could do was stand there, frozen in shock and pain.

For a few moments, you stood there in a tense silence. The anger and hurt inside you were palpable. You wanted to scream and lash out, but couldn't find the words. Finally, managed to find your voice and say, "How could you do this to me? After everything we've been through together, you just throw me away like I'm nothing? I thought you loved me!"

Raj just shrugged, a cool and detached expression on his face. 'It was nothing serious,' he said. 'I was just playing around. It didn't mean anything.' His words were like knives, digging deeper and deeper into your already wounded heart. Siya chimed in, adding, 'Come on, like anyone would really want to be with you. You're ugly, boring, and worthless. No wonder he chose me over you."

The pain of their words was almost unbearable. Tears stung the corners of your eyes, but you refused to let them see you cry. You tried to hold onto your dignity, to not give them the satisfaction of seeing you break, but it was getting harder and harder with every passing moment.

But they didn't stop there. They continued to mock and taunt you, saying that you were nothing more than a temporary distraction for Raj, that he had never taken you seriously. It was clear that they wanted to hurt you as much as possible, to make you feel small and insignificant.

"Look at yourself, how could you even think of me ? If someone compliments you saying  your beautiful,just remember that they are lying. Hahahahaha" Siya and Raj both started laughing. A feeling of regret started developing in you. " I wasted my 7 fucking years loving this heartless man. I trusted these both bastards blindly only to get insulted and heartbroken by them". You thought.
