It's been three months since Laksh left, and You have been missing him sorely. You have been trying to hold on and be strong, but the loneliness and worry has been slowly eating away at you. Every day has been a struggle, and you have been crying yourself to sleep more often than not. You can't help but feel like Laksh would forget you , or worse, he would lose interest in you.
You found yourself constantly plagued by thoughts of doubt and insecurity. It's as if a constant stream of negative thoughts has taken over your mind, whispering to your about your unworthiness and the possibility that Laksh would lose interest. You constantly replayed scenarios in your head of him finding someone better, or being happier without you. The more you thought about it, the more convinced you became that your just not good enough. The overthinking and lack of contact from Laksh had taken a toll on yournmental health, leaving you feeling anxious and depressed.
You were invited to one of your seniors wedding . So you got dressed.
When you arrived at the wedding, your mood was already somewhat dismal. As you entered the venue, you saw several of your old school friends, including some of your old rivals. Almost immediately, they started making snide comments and taunts, laughing amongst themselves as they looked at you. You tried your best to ignore to brush it off, but their words and tone sting, making you feel even more inadequate and small. You tried to keep a brave face, and not let on to the fact that their words have hurt you, but inside you were crumbling. As You tried to find a quiet spot to collect yourself, you heard Siya and her friends approaching, their laughter ringing in your ears. "Oh look, it's our little Y/N," Siya said, her voice dripping with condescension. "Still just as plain and boring as ever, I see."
Siya's friends chimed in, their tones mocking and derisive. "Yeah, I can't believe Laksh fell in love with her. I mean, who would want to date someone like her anyway? She's so plain and boring, no one would bother." Another one chimed in, "Maybe he left her. I mean, who can blame him? She's not exactly a catch."
You tried to ignore their hurtful words, but they're like a dagger to your heart. You felt self-conscious and insecured, and can't help but wonder if they're right about you. You tried to brush it off, but the words keep replaying in your mind, making you feel more and more miserable.
As she made your way through the crowd, they followed you.You overheared them making comments about you, some not-so-nice. "I can't believe someone as attractive as Laksh would date someone like her. She must not be his type at all."
You felt as though you are being judged left and right, your heart sinking as you overheared the harsh words from other guests. "She's a total bore," one of them spoke, "No wonder she has no friends, no one wants to be stuck with someone so dull."
One of them chimed in, her words cutting into Your already fragile self-esteem. "I feel sorry for Laksh, I bet he's already bored with her. She doesn't seem like the type of girl who can keep a man's interest for long."
Another girl added, "I don't blame Laksh if he's losing interest, she's not exactly the hottest catch. I'm sure he's got better options."
Your heart raced as you saw Laksh's name on your phone screen. The sound of his voice felt like a balm on your wounded heart, and you felt a wave of relief wash over you. You quickly answered the call, trying to hide the shakiness of your voice as you said, "Hey, Love. I'm so glad you called."
You found a secluded spot outside the venue and answered Laksh's call, trying to hold back your tears. As soon as you heard his voice again, your composure broke and you started sobbing. Laksh noticed your broken voice immediately and asked you what was wrong. You told him about the taunting and hurtful words from your college friends at the wedding. You expressed your insecurities and low self-esteem, and He reassured you that you are the most beautiful and wonderful person he knows. He told you that he loves you deeply and doesn't care what anyone else thinks.
He continued, his voice full of sincerity. "I'm sorry my love , I have not been in much contact this days but my love for you is still same. You're my everything. I don't care about anyone, I just care about you and us." He reassured you that he loved you no matter what and that he's never going to leave your side.Laksh's reassurance and love helped you feel a little better, but you were still feeling vulnerable and insecured from the events of the evening. He felt the worry in your voice, and he tried to comfort you further.
He softly shushed you and spoke in a soothing tone. "Hey, it's okay," he said. "I'm here for you, and I'm never going to let you go. Don't let those people get to you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I love you with all my heart."
He stayed on the phone with you for a while longer, showering you with more reassurances and words of love. He told you how much he missed you and how he can't wait to see you again. Youn felt a sense of relief and comfort, knowing that Laksh is there for you and loves you unconditionally.
As the conversation came to an end, Laksh reminded you to take care of yourself and not to listen to the negative words of others. He reminded you again how much he loves you and how he can't wait to be reunited with you soon. You hunged up the phone feeling a little better, but still feeling the after-effects of the night's events.
