Caroline and I both went to my place and I took great amusement to see Caroline's expressions and reactions.
"This is your house?" She asked, dumbstruck and at my nod her eyes had heart signed in them. "It's so beautiful!" She exclaimed.
I smiled and opened the door. I motioned her inside. "Then, you're gonna love this!"
She let out gasps and "Oh my god!"s while I tried very hard not to giggle.
"I love the outdoors and I feel that plants make the rooms feel more homey." I told her and she nodded frantically. "I do too! Your home is amazing!"
"And you can come over. Whenever you want. I have a room that's completely empty and since I can see that we are going to be close, we can go shopping for whatever bed and nick-nacks you might like?" Her eyes widened.
"Oh, I couldn't!" She said.
"My mother told me that investment in good friends is always the way to go and you seem like you'll be a good friend. Besides, don't friends spoil each other?" I asked her.
She still seemed slightly unsure but nodded. Her eyes got a sudden excited glint in them. "Anyways... Should we start on the hair after we do the masks and pedicure?"

We had a great night and she told me more about her one-sided friendship with Helena.
"They are closer to each other than they are with me. It's hard to know that and still act like I don't. I act like I don't care about a lot of things but I do notice things, you know?" She said, washing off the hair dye from my hair after I did hers.
"You can find out almost anything about me or anyone else in two hours and that's a skill that few have. In my opinion, they are doing a shit job at being your best friends since diapers. If you ever decide to demote them from best friends to just friends, I wouldn't mind taking up that spot. You seem like a bubbly and fun person so I'd be delighted to—"
Caroline pounced on me, forgetting to shut off the water which I happened to accidently turn to cold as I toppled down. Cold water shocked us and we squealed. I rushed to shut off the tap. We both looked at each other and burst into laughter. Caroline looked like she just came back from massacring people.
"I think that I'll take you up on that offer." She said, eyes something as she gave me a watery chuckle.
And that, people, it's how I've just gotten my first best friend.
