Aravind phone rang, and another car pulled up beside mines. 'Just give me a minute,' he said, looking at me, and retrieved his phone from his jeans pocket; his long legs stretched forward. Despite feeling scared, I couldn't show it. I held the knife towards him, silently urging him to leave before my hands ached more than I could manage.
Unfazed, he didn't even bat an eye and spoke on the phone, 'I will meet you at the signal end,' and promptly ended the call. Still smiling, he looked at me, extended his hand, and said, 'I am Aravind.'
'I don't care who the hell you are, get out, before I kill you.'
'Okay, cool down and don't hurt yourself and me with knife,' he said. About to open the door, he looked at me and asked 'Are you sure about not sleeping with me? I showed knife and firmly said 'Get out'.
He opened the door, but due to the car beside mine, it didn't budge. Closing the door, he looked at me. I was pissed off. He met my gaze and confessed, 'I am stuck.'
'What a timing?' I muttered.
He smiled. 'Stop smiling,' I demanded.
'Ladies tell me my smile is what makes them attracted towards me,' he said.
'Tell them to have an eye check-up,' I replied.
'Cool down,' he suggested.
'You entered my car without permission, and you want me to cool down?' I snapped.
He could clearly see that I was angry and started talking without his creepy smile. 'I ran into a problem, so I didn't have time to ask permission, and you didn't lock the car,' he said, blaming me for not locking it in the first place, which promptly allowed him to enter the car.
This guy was unbelievable, I thought, and said, 'Don't you have manners? It's my car, whether I lock it or leave it, it's my decision. That doesn't mean you can jump inside as if it's yours.'
'I do have manners', he said. I looked at him seriously. 'Okay, I got it. I am sorry for entering your car without permission,' he apologised.
'Finally,' I said.
'I promise you I will get down at the signal and behave myself,' he added.
I sat calmly but didn't let my gaze go away from him and still held my knife.
'By the way, can I ask something?' he inquired.
'No,' I replied.
He smiled. 'Stop smiling,' I insisted to him watching him through the mirror at front. All I could feel was creepiness when he smiled, it was not like it was creepy smile but, he was the creepy one.
'You are watching me from the mirror,' he pointed out at the mirror.
'I don't trust your words,' I stated.
'I am a man of my word; you can ask the girls in Mumbai, 'he claimed. This guy was irritating I thought and questioned him if I seriously have to believe that.
'100%,' he affirmed. All I wanted was to break his confidence right know before I could use the knife at him. Was he joking with me in this situation I thought.
'Why would a girl search for you in the traffic if you were a man of your word?' I asked.
'She wants to be my girlfriend,' he said. I wished that girl realises he is creep sooner and turned back to him and said, 'I hope she realises soon that you are not worth her time.'
He smiled at me and said, 'I don't have time for her; that is the reason she is stalking me.' The way he was acting cool gave me more reason to be pissed off at him.
