Is he also from the same college? I asked. If yes, things are easy for me. "You will know," she said without confirming. If he is from this college, I would know him for sure, I said, looking at her. "Then it's good; you will know that you lost the bet right now," she said.
"I will never lose," I said looking at her. "You will today," she said. This girl was very determined I thought and saw my stalker and kept the menu to my face and bent down.
Are you embarrassed now that you realized you won't win?" She asked. She really messes with me, I thought, and said, "See to your left side and tell me when she leaves."
I looked to my left in the direction Aravind had said and observed the girl. "Is she the same girl?" I asked him. "Yes," he said. "Then, I should invite her to join us," I said.
"Dakshi!" he exclaimed. "Isn't it a good chance?" I asked him, smiling. "I will kiss you if you call her; don't blame me then," he warned. "I will kill you before that happens," I said, remembering the restaurant scene.
"Did she leave?" He asked after a while. I looked around and said, "Yes." "Are you telling the truth?" He asked. Helping him is only a big deal, and him asking if I was telling the truth, I regret helping him, I thought, and said, "Check yourself."
He looked around, felt relieved, and had his coffee. As usual, Jay was running late. Did I disturb his work, I thought, and Aravind took my phone. "What are you doing?" I asked him. "I said I am the man of the word, so, I am taking your number," he said.
I took my phone back and asked him, "Did you come to Utkarsh hotel day before yesterday?" "How did you know?" he asked, a little surprised, and there comes the creepy smile. "Did you sit in someone's place and placed a menu to hide yourself?" I asked.
"Did you stalk me?" asked Aravind with a wide smile. "I didn't stalk you; you sat over there without my permission," I said. "Really? Was it you?" He asked, surprised. "So, technically, as we met before and you didn't take my number like you said, that means you are not the man of the word," I said, smiling at him. Now, it was my turn to be happy, I felt. "Wow, it's like I am destined to come to you," he said, pissing me off. He smiled looking at me pissed off. "No, it's destined that I prove you wrong every time," I said. "Regarding your boyfriend, I will be right," he said. "You will lose," I said.
Jay arrived, and I smiled looking at him. Aravind turned back looked at Jay, and Jay looked at him. They smiled looking at each other, and I observed them. Jay came and sat beside me. Aravind looked at us and asked, "Jay, do you know Dakshi?" I replied, "He is my boyfriend." Aravind seemed surprised and said, "Is it real?" he asked looking at Jay. Did he think I was lying all this time I thought looking at Aravind. Jay explained, "Yeah, I told you my girlfriend is coming from the States and planning to study here." Aravind nodded as okay and while Jay asked us, "So, how do you guys know each other?" Aravind said in an instance, "It's not the way you think." I don't know why he said in such hurry and turned to Jay and he said, "I know my girlfriend." I then added and mentioned the car incident I said to him on Saturday night, saying Aravind was the one I had given a lift to.
"Aravind, leave my girlfriend alone if you don't want to get killed by her," warned Jay. Aravind promised, "I won't behave with her that way again. I trust you when you give the word." Jay turned to me, joking, "I thought you would leave for today." I replied, "I wanted to meet you before I leave." Jay nodded as okay and asked What about your stalker? Just a miss said Aravind. Be careful and don't forget audition said Jay. Aravind nodded as okay and looked at me. I didn't mind them talking and was eating the pastry, it was yummy, I only hoped I won't get stomach upset and upset my mom. I have work, I will leave said Jay. I nodded as okay looking at him. Jay said his goodbyes, instructing me to text him when I got home safely and looked at Aravind. Aravind added, "I will be there on time for the audition." Jay left, and I sat there smiling looking at Aravind.
She is very happy that she won I thought and admitted to her saying, "Okay, I agree, I lost the bet." "That's it?" she asked. Should I tell whole sentence now? I thought and continued, "I will never flirt with you, neither will I behave like I do with other girls." I responded, "Now, it's enough." She needs full sentences," I thought, and I smiled at her, moving my hand forward. "Friends?" I asked, looking at her. She looked at me with a hint of doubt.
