Vegas was feeling nervous, he found his mother's ring, it was a very pretty and simple white gold ring with three sapphires set in it. He intended to ask Pete's granny's permission to marry him. Maybe it was a little old-fashioned, but he wanted to make things right with Pete, and his grandma was his only family, he needed her approval.

They had talked about waiting to get married, but Vegas didn't want to wait. Macau would have a summer break from college, he'd be back home for those months, and that would be the perfect time for their wedding? If Pete agreed... If he agreed, Vegas wouldn't know how to live without his Pete, without his light.

"Vegas, what's up baby, you got everything to go to granny's house, are you regretting it?" Pete said with concern looking at Vegas who was sitting on the edge of the bed in thought. Vegas lifted his head as he listened to his Pete.
"Regret what?" said Vegas with a frown. "I don't know maybe come with me or be my boyfriend .... You've been weird since we started packing.... You know... If you don't want to come that's fine, I don't want to force you" Pete's voice was getting lower and lower and smaller. Vegas stood up quickly when he heard Pete, put his hands on his face and said "Oh my love, how can I regret being with you? I can't live without you Pete and I don't regret anything. Well that's not true, I regret being a coward for not confessing my love to you sooner, we wasted so much time" Vegas kissed Pete and hugged him "It's just that I'm worried about granny's reaction .... She... Did you tell her we're boyfriend now?".

Pete hid his face in Vegas' neck "No, I didn't tell her.... She loves you so much.... What if she doesn't like me as your boyfriend? "Vegas chuckled, "Oh Pete, she loves me but she loves you even more, baby. And... She already knows I'm in love with you" Vegas blushed. Pete lifted his face, "What? How?"
"I told her the last time we were at her house...". Vegas sat back down on the edge of the bed, hiding his face a little with his hands. "What?" Pete sat down next to Vegas "So you're the reason she spends all her time asking about you and telling me I need to find a boyfriend like you?" Vegas looked at Pete, "Sorry?" he said with a funny look on his face. Pete chuckled "So you're not going to tell me why you confessed to my granny and not me?" said Pete hugging Vegas and resting his chin on Vegas's shoulder. While they were at it he took the opportunity to kiss his cheek. Vegas was still blushing.

Vegas moved his face to kiss Pete, "It was when we were there for your grandpa's funeral. She was worried about you, you looked devastated then, so she was worried because she thought you would be left alone. I spoke to her and told her that I would be with you, that I would look after you and make sure you ate well, that I wouldn't leave you alone. She caught my words and asked me: 'Vegas, are you in love with my Pete?' I said yes and then I realised what I had said. She laughed at me and said 'Now I can relax, if Pete has someone like you who loves him I don't have to worry about him'. I confessed to her that I was a coward and that you didn't know about my love, but she didn't care, she said 'Don't worry son, Pete loves you, I hope he stops being stubborn and tells you, but he's been in love with you for a long time, you can see it in the way he looks at you, cares about you and talks about you'. I couldn't believe it, but she told me 'One day you will be together, listen to me. A love like yours cannot be lost. "
"Granny always was a bit cheesy" said Pete. Both laughed.

Suddenly Bear knocked on their door, "Khun Vegas, Khun Pete, Porsche is outside, he wants to talk to you, he said it will be the last time, then he's leaving the country, but he wants to talk first". Vegas and Pete looked at each other with a frown. "Let's see what he wants, now I'm curious" it was Pete who spoke. "OK, take him to the living room," Vegas said to Bear.

Porsche stood, looking tired and sad. "Thank you for seeing me, I know I'm one of the last person you want to see, but I really need to talk to you Pete," Porsche's voice sounded like his appearance, broken, sad and tired. "Sit down Porsche," Vegas said.
"You want to talk, about what?" Pete asked.
