There was a man
I protected him all my lives
But he never noticed meThen one day, he turned his head
He saw me
And took me awayHe showed me the stars
Life outside our universe
I was his companionHe taught me how to belive
How to fight back
How to flyHe gave me hope
He took care of me
Just as I once did for himI saved him
He thanked me in adventures
He became my heroBut traveling with him came with a price
The people I cared for were lost
I am too young to have these many ghostsI learned whom he really was
A man with so much blood on his hands
He was a warriorHe had lost everything
Completely alone
He was a lonely wandererWhen I looked into his eyes
I saw so much pain
I saw how old he truly wasI wasn't the first companion he had
Through my many lives I saw others
All of them gone nowI kept traveling with him
I lost even more loved ones
I never learned my lessonI lost everything
We were both now alone
But at least we were alone together
