As she approach the dining table, she saw her parents talking with a hush voice. She cleared her throat to make her presence known. Her mother immediately glance at her with a soft smile plastered on her lips. She slightly bow her head to her father as a silent greeting but her father did not pay her any attention, he did not even react, he just stared at his wife. Uriel ignores the rejection and sat opposite to her mother.
" How are you dear?" Her mom asked, did not even comment about the tension between her husband and daughter. Uriel just nod her head and the maids started serving the foods.

" She cannot be like this...forever, dear." His voice cold, Vanessa shake her head.
" No, you mistakenly assumes that there's forever...not to our daughter, Caesar, not to her." Her hurt voice cut deeper to his heart. Vanessa hold back her tears, clenching her hands into fist.
" I will do anything for my daughter, Caesar, I will do anything for her. I hope you do the same, I know you don't have any good relationship with Uriel. It's not her fault dear. It's my fault..." Caesar shakes his head and moved his chair closer to his wife, stroking her face as her eyes becoming more teary.
" It's not your fault...it's not.." he murmurs. Vanessa gulp down the lump on her throat.
" It's my fault that I did not take good care of her properly when she's still a child. I rejected her for many years and never pay her plea any mind. It's my fault that she's sick and the reason why she's like this. " Her tears keeps falling and her husband hugged her, murmuring sweet words to his wife as she continue crying.
