Sky-Raptor: Transformers Prime Fanfic

Sky-raptor is a predacon sparkling. She was placed in stasis by her creators when they sensed danger. Which lead to the destruction of their and Sky-raptor remained safe in stasis. Until Shockwave discovered one of her creators remains and her stasis pod. His mission was to retrieve the predacon fossil, but he was intrigued by the stasis pod and the young predacon inside. What happens when she awakens from stasis? How will Predaking react to the predacon sparkling? What's her roll in Transformers Prime? Lets find out.

(Nemesis) Third Persons POV

Shockwave is on the bridge with Starscream and Megatron. Scanning the predacon fossil that the insecticon was able to bring back. Shockwave would have preferred more of the sample so that he could discover how the predacons became extinct on Earth. But he only requires a signal strand of CNA to clone a predacon from.

"On Earth? I mean, isn't it just a little preposterous?" Starscream asks.

"They are not the remains of Predacons, Starscream. But, rather, the remains of Predacon clones" Megatron tells him. "For you see Our recent Autobot hunter wasn't the first bestial super-soldier Shockwave ever attempted to breed from prehistoric matter. During the w*r for Cybertron, I sanctioned the dispatch of a small army of these preda-clones to Earth to unleash the beasts on unwitting Autobot forces stationed here. Once they accomplished their mission, the surviving Predacons held sentinel on this very world for ages to come, guarding the Energon reserves they had managed to secure while awaiting my arrival. Of course, our reunion here was much delayed, and it would seem we lost the beasts to the ravages of time" he explains.

"But not their endo-matter, from which I am logically able to extract their very CNA" Shockwave states picking up the fossil. He would of liked more of the remains for study aside from cloning. Like a complete skeleton. But the odds of finding one it unlikely.

"Pff. Another scavenger hunt? How logical would it really be to locate all the dusty remains of your former pets?" Starscream asks him.

"You are not suggesting that I would send my creations to a distant planet without first having them micro-chipped?" Shockwave asks him.

"Well well, I was. But, seriously, you did?" Starscream asks him.

"Indeed and the hunt is already on the way for the next two fossils" Shockwave states. "I shall go get started on the process of extracting the CNA from this fossil" he adds. Before bowing his head to Megatron before heading for his off site lab. Not knowing that the second fossil would be the remains of a predacon guarding something more precious to it then energon.

(Past) Sky-Raptor's POV

I giggle as my sire grabs me playfully. When he puts me down, I go to fly away and he gently steps on my tail. "Sky-raptor, will you stay still for a moment?" he asks me with a low growl.

"But you said we'd explore our home today, you promised" I whine.

"Listen to your sire Sky-raptor" carrier scolds me gently.

"Yes carrier" I say bowing my head. She smiles and licks my helm, making me purr. She then leaves to go hunt for energon.

"Now some rules Sky-raptor, you are to stay in my sights at all time. And if I tell you to run, you return home, do you understand?" sire asks me. I nod my helm in understanding. He releases my tail and takes off. I fly after him, he goes slow as I am not fast yet.

He started to give me a tour of our home. When something shoots at us. "Autobots" he growls. "Sky-Raptor run!" he roars and breaths fire down at the enemy. I make a u-turn and head for home as sire called for back up. I got home safely and not long after that I was placed in a stasis pod. My creators promised we'd be together again once Megatron returned. I wasn't happy about going into stasis, but they always kept their promises. So I allowed myself be placed in stasis, not knowing I'd never see them in the living world again. Sky-raptor's carrier curled around the stasis pod and refused to leave. Her sire would bring her carrier food, but one day never came back.

(Present time) Third Persons POV

The vehicons had found another fossil. But they'd also found a stasis pod. One calls Shockwave to inform him of the stasis pod. Shockwave decided to go himself and was surprised by the young predacon in the stasis pod. His scanned showed it was alive. So he grabbed it and the fossil. While above the drones engaged in battle with two autobots.

As he exits the cave he spots the drones off-lined and the two autobots. He fires on them with his cannon. They dodge the blast. They fire back and hit the oil, which sets off a series of explosions. Shockwave transforms and takes off with the pod on his back. Bumblebee and Smokescreen give pursuit.

Shockwave fires on them again and they dodge his blasts. He reaches the man made bridge. Where Optimus appears above and he fires on Optimus. Who fires back and sends Shockwave flying. He managed to keep a hold of the stasis pod, but not the fossil. A ground bridge opens up and Soundwave flies out of it. He engages Optimus.

Meanwhile Shockwave rolled the pod through the ground bridge. Before going for the fossil. He knows whatever was in the pod, the most logical way for it to survive would be to have one of it's creators around when it awakens. But as that is impossible, a clone of one would have to do. So he needed that jaw fossil.

He grabs it and makes a bee line for the bridge. But Bumblebee catches up to him and kicks him off of his pedes. Then blocks his path to the ground bridge. Soundwave dispatches Laserbeak to deal with Optimus while going to help Shockwave. Smokescreen manages to get a hold of the jaw thanks to the phase shifter.

Bumblebee arrives and together they tried to wrestle the jaw from Shockwave. But as they and Shockwave wrestled for it. It broke in half. Sending a small fragment flying. Soundwave uses a ground bridge to catch it and it lands in Megatron's servo on he Nemesis. "We have all that we need" Shockwave states and leaves with Soundwave through their ground bridge.

(Nemesis)

Shockwave is examining he toot with Megatron. The stasis pod beside him. "Shockwave. I understand that you engaged Optimus Prime in the field" Megatron states.

"Only in order to secure the specimen and pod, lord Megatron" Shockwave tells him.

"I believed that you had perished once, my most prized engineer, and I highly doubt that project Predacon can be completed without you" Megatron tells him.

"I shall leave the fetching of bones to Starscream, and confine myself to my laboratory in order to accelerate results" Shockwave assures him.

"Excellent for I am rather impatient to witness my army of beasts trample humankind underfoot" Megatron tells him. "Now tell me, what of this speciman" he says looking at the pod.

"It appears to be a predacon sparkling, it is logical that this fossil is the remains of one of it's creators" Shockwave states.

"Creators?" Megatron asks.

"All the predacons I sent to Earth were fully matured, it is only logical that this sparkling is a result of breeding. Which I find to be most illogical as the creators are clones" Shockwave states.

"What do you plan to do it it?" Megatron asks him.

"For now examine it" Shockwave states.

"Can't you exhilarate it's growth?" Megatron asks.

"To do so would be illogical" Shockwave tells him. "If it were to awake fully mature, it'd still have the mind of a sparkling" he explains. "I planned on awakening it once the others are ready, so that they can train it. As it would not survive without another predacon to protect and teach it" he states.

"Very well, continue" Megatron tells him and leaves. Shockwave looks at the sparkling in the pod. Had his current predacon been here and not lost. He would have tried to have it become the sparklings guardian. At least until the cloned version of it's carrier was ready to care for it. It is only logical that the remains of the carrier be what was found close to the sparkling. Though there is a chance they will find the remains of the sire also, it'd be an amazing opportunity to study how they raise their young differently from other cybertronians. Also how they were able to have a sparkling so far from Cybertron. Oh well, Shockwave is patient and will wait for the right moment to get his answers to his questions. Until then, he has work to do, like finishing his off-site lab. Finding beacons and praying the other drones return with the third fossil from Scotland soon.
